If you mean mine, surely the roadhouse show in t.green (1987 payed used but mint 600 euro in the 2006). If you mean in general, assuming that I really like the sound strat above the television too (but this is only a personal opinion) I would say that many things have changed over time. As often happens today, it is found in the ararial rather than in the being. In 2000, without going too far in the years, only Mexico and the American squier hesitated, not considered the caring mudguard. I myself immediately changed everything on my first std (therefore mexico), except discrete bridge and tuner also on this model. When I did they were satisfied, guitar cost 500 euros (converted in 2000 the euro did not exist and you bought a std american with 1000 euros and there was a difference with mine) + about 300 of hardware. Today if I compare this to my new Squier cvb 70s, I prefer this one, so it means that squier is making excellent guitars in relation to their price and very, very similar to an entry / medium level fender. All this because today you pay for the logo if not 50℅ much more than its value. In any case, the guitar is also a model parity it can play differently it depends on many factors, but also on how it is assembled, the advice is always better to try it As you can see I have almost all modified Hb, on that c.appple only i.pickups cost more than double its price and yet even if it has done. you can buy them at 290/300, they are perhaps the best compromise between sound / price at least this is my humble opinion and as always everything depends on the valid guitarist with any guitar.
