I've done a search of our forum and came up short. Has anyone got any experience with a Danelectro guitar?
I've managed to decide that I want a guitar with 2 single coils, 3 at a push, I have a H S, an S H and a H H so I'm looking at different S S type guitars.

I havent got a Danelectro MartinB but have a squire strat with 3 lipstick pups. As you probably know generally most danelectros have these pups. They are quite low output, I think they have a sound of their own. I would try one out before buying just incase they are not what you are after. Cool looking guitars though. 😉

Low output doesn’t worry me, I do like the sound of lipsticks. Trying one out is of course necessary before I buy. I think I might draw up a shortlist again.

I tried one unplugged in a shop a few months ago. I really liked the feel of it. Slim neck, lightweight and nicely balanced.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Good luck with that tonewood MartinB . I'll be interested to hear what you make of those lipsticks...and whether 15 years has been good or bad for them... Also how you like that series idea. I can see it being a good one for the lipsticks' lowish output. It always struck me as quirky that Danelectro don't really have a neck pickup. Theirs is almost a middle one which, unfortunately puts it just under where my fingers want to go. I guess this is something to do with the framework beneath. Do these still have their height adjustment from the back? And I have to ask, what is 'go go' blue?

Besides, they do have some, albeit not quite straight:

Where did you order it from MartinB? And if you don't mind me asking, what was the price? Looks cool 👍
