Yes, I've watched all his videos. I remember that one!

The steaming method will work as long as no wood fibres are cut? Obviously you need to remove the finish if there is one prior to steaming. It is best not to try and get it all out in one go as you don't want water soaking in. It can be a bit laborious but is worthwhile, if you take your time I'm sure you will achieve a satisfactory result. Good luck.
P.S The wax filler you linked is really only for shallow scratches. I don't think it would be a permanent fix, it's really for use renovating prior to French polishing. I may work but I wouldn't be confident of it lasting.

Depends on how much the guitar cost? If it were a cheap HB or similar I'd probably fix it myself. If it's a more expensive guitar I'd probably send it back. You don't seem to have much luck with fingerboards ttmax. You've had a few with bad fingerboards if I remember correctly? P.S 15-20 € discount/refund but I'm cheap!

Get a nice box for your glasses. It usually does the trick

Remember well, this is a 141 hb purchased from a friend because he knows I have one, we are also comparing them. He wanted to avoid returning due to cov19 in order not to go to the post office.

Wait, this is new? I'd send it back. Those fret ends look interesting. Almost vertical ends. Yes is new just to avoid going to the post and also because it is in a not so difficult position under the rope and + I would also be for the replacement
