Set-up out of the box is a myth. You get something that's not complete nonsense and that's all, really.
I always keep some extra string around the posts so I can remove them a few times without having to replace them when the end breaks off. I know it lenghtens the stretching process. That's ok, I don't need to "perform" right after I put them on as professionals usually do and I don't change strings often either.
2 mm at 12th fret is high. Too high to my taste. But the real question here is about the neck. If it had too much relief and the strings were too high, then I'll suspect it moved under the pull after the set-up was done. I had the same happen to my recently acquired 12-string. I set it up as I wanted it then had to tighten the neck again some time later. I remember I didn't need to adjust it the first time. It had come straight with loose strings and had slowly bent after I tuned them up.
Nice colour.

I was going to ask if they were worth $500 +$50 shipping. Is this a limited run or a permanent fixture in their line up? I'm glad HB is branching out to more mid-line guitars to rival Schecter or Jackson.

I'm glad HB is branching out to more mid-line guitars to rival Schecter or Jackson. It's a limited run and I really don't think they will make more than these 350 units. Now, specwise, a guitar like the Amarok is very close. So I guess there's a new single cut coming soon or late with more or less the same specs than this Agufish signature and that will not be a limited edition Worth 500$ ? Yes it is. I'll give more details in my review video.

Yes, the guitars sold out fast so it's a success proving there is a demand for these specs at this price level. There will very likely be a streamlined models with similar specs in different finishes without the Agufish logo and it will probably be cheaper. My guess would be 399€.

I think the price will depend upon the pickups. Agufish signature = custom voiced pickups = 500 Amarok = EMG Hot 70 = 500. Of course, if you make a single cut with stock Roswell LAF or HAF, or Roswell active or HBZ, you can go as low as 400€. But wouldn't it stain upon the reste of the specs ?

Not quite, it will depend on quantities made. A limited edition is always more expensive because of the limited character. The Seraphim pick-ups of the Agufish edition are not more expensive to make than any others. Making 350 pairs is a hopeless endeavour because that would likely not cover the cost of designing them in the first place but spreading them onto a whole range of products would bring them down to the price of any other passive Roswell humbucker. Pick-ups are not gold, they're just dumb wire around dumb magnets. Once you have the recipe (geometry, turns, wire type and magnet strength), you can replicate them at will like pizza and sell them at the same price level. Now, if you have to buy EMG's, you might not get as good a price as from Roswell but even that could be a matter of negociation and quantities. And if you want a selected, exclusive top as that of the Agufish, you need to spend more money on it too. A more regular flame veneer or even solid colours would take the price down.

By the way, my price guess was 399€ because that's the price of the Fusion with roasted maple necks but these have Wilkinson bridges. Those with Floyd Rose sell for 449€. The HP42, also with roasted maple, is at 399€. No floating bridge there but it's a signature model with lower expected numbers.
So we might see a generic modern single cut with Roswell humbuckers, including the new Seraphim, go down below that around 349€, although I would expect it to start higher.

Looks much nicer than the horrible looking Henning model. Henning likes quirky looking things. At least the pick-ups are black now. But to be honest, I barely ever see a green guitar I like. The Ocean Turquoise Fusion is one exception. Not exactly green. That batracian-like "Emerald" Amarok is not catching me either: That said, I'm looking forward to see what finishes they'll come up with on the forthcoming Agufish-spawn models.
