Meanwhile, you can always take a look at your used market if any 2nd hand HB's pop up There are very few HBs on eBay.co.uk I'd like to assume this is because buyers like them so much that they keep them but it also might be because of lockdown - we're limited to "essential travel" only in the UK.

When I see how people talk about avoiding anything from China and desinfecting anything they get their hands on at all times even after it spent days sitting in a box, I know this is not a time to try and sell something used in an auction site. Fixed price only. But I checked a few times long before (last year or earlier) and HB's were scarce on ebay UK. I suppose people keep them because they see the Gear4music stuff sell for peanuts and think HB's will fare the same. The brand doesn't look desirable yet.

Yes, I normally only buy second-hand and locally so I can collect. That makes my pool even smaller. Normally, all that comes at the low end up are the ubiquitous Squiers and Epiphones and, as you say, Gear4Music stuff. When I got my HB-35 18 months ago, it was the first and last Harley Benton locally. But I still live in hope! As always there are always things that buck the trend: I saw a TE-52 sell on Ebay in March for £151 (plus £10 shipping) - at that time is was still in stock at Thomann for £129 inc shipping! Some people do get carried away when bidding. Anyway, if a lot of the new sales are to people who have decided to learn guitar during lockdown, we may see a surge in the second hand market when they give up and/or go back to work!

For what it may be worth, comfort or agitation let me add.. My first two Thomann orders took about 12 to 15 days from order to delivery to the US. I placed my 3rd order on May 2 and it shipped on the 10th. It promptly went to DHL IPZ Frankfort on the 11th where it is I assume waiting to hop a flight. So two weeks in its sitting in Frankfort IPZ what ever that stands for. I ordered 3 knowing to expect problems and expecting restock may be a issue going forward. Not a perfect time for me to buy 3 at a pop but if all goes well I may be happy I did, some day in the future... when ever that may be. Amazon seems to be getting back to normal and they were way off their game for a month or so. Airlines and air freight are a problem still. What I fear most is the US government has a thought it can raise postal package rates by 400% to try to make the poorly run service profitable. A 400% hike won't make them profitable since that will kill their business. What ever arrangement DHL has with them for final in country delivery could be at risk or become cost prohibitive. Thomann may have to arrange Fedex or UPS if they want to sell the US market. Or they could work a warehouse and distribution deal with Amazon. Amazon did use the US Postal service but now 99% of what I get from them is delivered by the gray Amazon Mercedes Benz trucks and a rare UPS or USPS package. Can you imagine 2 day Prime delivery on HB guitars? Dream please come true..

I'm really new to the discovery of this brand and when looking at the Thomann site it seems like ALOT of the higher end popular guitars are out of stock. Is this a normal occurrence? I'm sure some on here have watched the site for months plus and have seen a change.
Tons of 450' no 550's, Is this a normal thing?
My thought is that the covid thing has put a damper on production??? Am I wrong? Will I be on a eternal wait )
They are made in China. I've watched tje Tomann site for quite some time and they were rarely out of stock before the pandemic.
