Hi guys! New to the forum.
Just a couple quick questions. I placed an order with Thomann on 4/25. But it's been stuck in Frankfurt going on 3 weeks now. I've talked to Thomnan and they say there is nothing they can do as it's already in DHL custody and DHL won't even respond. I was looking at purchasing the new ST-62 CC pink but I'm quite reluctant if this will be the case for every order going forward? Also my tracking info states "The slightly damaged shipment is being repackaged" whioch makes me a little nervous.
What is the average turnaround time for orders coming to the US?
Has anyone else ordered during the pandemic and received similar wait times for shipping?
Thanks!

If I do order again I'm 100% using UPS. I've never had any issues with them but the $70 shipping steered me toward DHL.

I can't wait to try these guitars out but the longer I wait, the more bummed out I get.

Any update on yours? I placed an order in late March and got it in about two weeks. Placed a second order on April 16th, DHL got it on the 21st of April and since then no change in status. Destination is the US. Thomann tells me DHL is backed up but DHL is useless regarding any updates.

Bongwater, I think I'm in a similar situation to you. I ordered a CST-24T P90 and it shipped on April 23rd. It appears to be stuck in Frankfurt too, and the latest info I saw was "the goods have not been loaded yet and shipping may be delayed". I've emailed Thomann three different times, including the guy that's supposed to be my account rep and cannot get a reply. Of course the account rep I just emailed this morning so I may not hear from him until Monday. I was curious if anyone else here on the forum had seen that message on tracking and knew exactly what it meant? I've also heard these guitars can show up at your house and the tracking never shows a change, so I'm not sure what to think.

Dirk, I'm also in the US and I'm guessing Bongwater is too?

Dirk, I'm also in the US and I'm guessing Bongwater is too? I'm guessing this is a good sign since its probably just a backlog. Sucks things are moving at a snails pace but it decreases the likihood that all our orders have been lost. I did read that DHL International is backed up. But Thomann does a crap job at sharing this info.

Wow I have 3 sitting in Frankfurt but no notification as to damage ...yet... If DHL is taking in shipments that just sit still they better have a big building. Thomann should tell customers if its going to be like this. Or they could setup a US warehouse if they are serious about selling in the US market. You know word will get out and as it piles up there will be a ground swell of unhappy customers.

I'm not impatient, all I would ask here is that the information was a little more clear. I've never ordered anything from overseas that arrived quickly, so even in good times I expect 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. I understand it could be longer than that with the virus delays.

Dude.. what? This isn't about entitlement. It's just basic customer service. Nowhere on the Thomann site does it say anything about delays. Sure you can assume that there will be, but even as you check out, the delivery dates haven't been updated. So I guess us entitled Americans are sorry for spending large amounts of money and having our packages sitting in a warehouse unsure of what has happened to them. That was the worst take you could have had on this whole situation.

The last time I got something from the US, it took 25 days to arrive, spending most of its time stuck in customs. All you can ask from a seller is a tracking number from whatever shipment service they use. Sometimes they might be able to offer a choice of shipping service but once it's sent it's out of their hands.

Totally in the US. Texas to be exact. I'm at least glad to know others are in the same situation. We're all in this together lol. I just placed another order using the UPSexpress service they offer. I guess i'll find out if that extra $20 was worth it.

I've pretty much accepted that my stuff will not reach me until mid to late June so I won't be disappointed. So if it comes any earlier than that then so be it.
