Sorry I hadn't considered the cherry flame Dlx [image] and paradise flame Too many model with Little differences [image] But same sound 😂 Yes, it all gets a bit confusing the way HB chooses their pickups for which models. SC-550 are all LAFs except the Paradise Flame which is HAF; half of the SC-Customs are aimed at metal but come with LAFs instead of HAFs and so on! BTW, do you have neck measurements for the CST or is it the same neck profile as the SC-Customs?

If you're playing metal then you might find the LAF struggle a bit unless you have a decent distortion pedal / amp set up* * decent does not mean expensive. Exactly. I play lots of Slayer and 80's thrash/speedmetal songs with my LAF-loaded SC-550. Works perfectly if I additionally use my tubescreamer or SD-1 to boost (and tighten up) the distorted amp tone. For certain modern metal (in "drop Z" tuning, as I like to call it) it might be a bigger struggle of course.
