Looks like Thomann is adjusting the HB prices up in other ways as well. Just got a new TE-52 and it didn't come with D'Addarios. Of course this might be because of supply problems as well. No idea what strings are on it, they look generic.
No signs of cutting other corners. Fit and finish look good.

Looks like, as you mentionned, it's because of supply problems cos the Daddario strings are still mentioned in the specs.

Most of the time I buy from Thomann but always have a look to other companies. My last CORT x-700 comes from Muzic-center.de in Germany. They pretend every guitar is set up in their workshop before shipment. It's worth always compare.

Keep in mind eBay sellers aren't necessarily making money hand over fist. eBay charges 10% of the selling price and PayPal takes another 5%. I recently sold a camera lens on eBay for $429 which cost me $72 in fees and shipping, assuming my time for listing, packaging and shipping the item was worth nothing. Really quite annoying as a seller. What appears at first blush as a profit for a seller could be very little profit or even a loss. Just a little perspective from a seller's point of view, but yeah, it's interesting to see the dynamics of economics and supply/demand in action. Ebay charge 10%? You sure? No wonder they call it Evil Bay, lol

Well replying to the post about the prices... I been checking the website everyday and the guitars are not even in the catalog anymore...the one that shows up in the website is the 550 plus with EMG pickups... And some other different things...

I been checking the website everyday and the guitars are not even in the catalog anymore...the one that shows up in the website is the 550 plus with EMG pickups... And some other different things... Thomann will remove guitars that are out of stock and where no order confirmation (basically) exists from the search results. But you can still find them if you have them in your wishlist.
@topic: Prices are going up everywhere thanks to the pandemic. Everything from wood to metals to paints have gone up and naturally that will also affect the guitar prices. If you do not have to have a guitar right now, then just wait.

The shipping prices are really starting to spiral out of control $15 dollar increase in shipping on the new guitar I want compared to when I ordered 7 weeks ago. Now the new guitar is 4 ounces heavier but not 15 dollars heavier. On top of that I’m entitled to a refund on shipping according to UPS it won’t cost Thomann a penny they just have to request it. I have explained this to Thomann politely and also requested this be applied towards a future purchase but they are now ignoring me. Anyone have any recommendations on how I should proceed?
Thanks in advance,
Michael
