Bummer about the string. But hey, it looks like it travelled from the darkest depths of hell, then to Thomann, then to you. That's a lot of stress for a little string to be put through. (samurai)

going from debts of hell to the cold north atlantic ocean to big of a temperature change. anyway the tuners are made of plastic so they don't grip to well inside the holes, I've tried playing it trough my DAW with only 3 strings and it sound quite nice. ordered new strings right away, When they arrive I will try too se if the tuners on my other violin will fit they are made of wood,

Have been doing some research and thinking of replacing the tuners with Ukulele tuners (straight once not angled) I've seen pic of some mods and it looks like they will fit, this should also make it much easier to fine-tune and also make it stay in tune a lot better

By straight ones do you mean the non-mechanical ones? If my (limited) uke experience, they didn't hold tuning very well, but I have no idea about on a violin.

Unfortunately this violin (it was a b-stock( is not really good out of the box these plastic tuners don't stick to well so when you try to tune they glide out of tune all the time. I won't send it back because I want to make it work. It does sound quite good through my computer. I got ukulele tuners but they don't fit unless I do some drilling on the violin and I don't really want to do that, because I plan to just get those fine tuners

Sorry to hear that mate! But please do write to Thomann about that complain so they can rectify the issue. Im sure if we talk to them they will do something about it but id we keep quiet they will of course not change anything Also if you do write to them, then write to the violin department not the sales people. Also Im sure they will send you new tuners even those you want cheaper of course, just ask

But, as Che said, contact Thomann. They are always willing and happy to rectify any issues. You won't necessarily have to send it back. They may offer you a different set of tuners or, at the very least, a discount on your next purchase!
