I just happened to have my luggage scale out today. Let's see what we have...
Epiphone Iommi SG - 3.0kg HB SC-jr - 3.5kg HB SC-Custom - 3.5kg HB PB-20 - 3.7kg (3.6 with stock bridge) HB Vintage Slider - 2.0kg NRG Ice Paul - 3.8kg Schecter Hellraiser - 3.6kg Gibson SG special - 2.9kg
Intersting i really thought the weight difference between the sc-jr and the Ice Paul was bigger.

It's weird isn't it calebz. My least favourite strat has the worst pickups and I have always disliked it because it seemed so heavy. When I weighed it it was no different to my other strats. Perhaps it just weighs heavy on my soul.

@defjef - Sounds like that strat needs some help. I hate the thought of having a 'least favorite'. Though I admit, the Schecter and SGs don't get used much anymore. They're basically recording studio backline now for visiting bands (you know - that thing I haven't had in 14 months ). I was a bit surprised to find that the SC-Custom and the SC-Jr were the same weight. I've had them for a year or two and never compared, but always had the impression that the Jr was less substantial and lighter than the SC-custom.

TE52: 4.64kg (10 pounds 3.3 ounces) Apparently the weight of ash is very unpredictable. Yes, but many ash guitars tend to be on the heavier side.

hartonbenley I think I saw a post where you go into more detail about those three...and don't want to derail the conversation, but would you mind either posting all of the mods you've done with those, or DM'ing me?

Here are my two guitars:
Harley Benton TE-70 Paisley 7.3 lbs - 3.31 Kg
Harley Benton CST-24T Emerald Green: 6.8 lbs - 3.08 Kg
The CST-24T is a new one from Indonesia, and based on YouTube reviews, I was expecting a HEAVY guitar, I am so pleasantly surprised!

My T-52 is a feather: 3.30kg Geezopizza ! I have seen other posts, where guys claim to have TE 52's that are "featherlight" (less than 8 lbs !_) I don't know how they hook that up ! I mean, I weighed one of mine... and she's in there at 10.3 lbs ... I knew she was a "chubber", and I don't hold that against her . I mean, like I bought a 2d one, that feels like it weighs the same. But if you ask some guys, Ash is "light". Ask others, and Ash is heavy ! I do know one thing, Ash makes for beautiful grain patterns in the body, and to me, that makes the weight thing more tolerable . I've checked sites that do weigh guitars, and some Fender CV Teles will approach 9 or more lbs. $3000 Les Pauls too What would be off-putting, is if your first one weighed 7 Lbs... . So you buy another, and she weighs 10 ! Hey, I Luv mine, I will not trade them, and I just use a Levy cotton web strap... 3" wide to handle the load ... When I have to have a "lighter" one... I'll cop a TE 69 ... (no trades though)

Hello Would you know for the DC serie, in particular the DC-CUSTOM? Chris My DC custom is 8 lbs(128 oz). A bit on the heavy side, but no neck dive.
