Hi i have a hb semi hollow guitar and the neck warped, i tried ti straighten it with clamps over a 3 month period nd finally got ot straight so my patience paid of, or so i thought then one day i heard a strange noise while playimg it and on investigation i found the neck had cracked, and i meed to replace it so my question is how to remove the neck as it is completly sealed to the guitar and i wish to know how to go about it and also if antone knows the best place to get a new neck, the neck says washburn but i have been told that the guitar is a h benton 35, so any help would be appreciated.

Hi gerald. Welcome to the group. Where is the crack? I assume that it isn't the sort of crack that you could fill it with glue and clamp it shut. Removing a set (glued in) neck isn't an easy job and would normally have to be done by a luthier. The glue would have to be softened by heat and you could easily damage the body. With a semi-acoustic guitar, you have the added risk that heat might loosed the top or bottom of the body near the neck joint. I don't know if the approach in this video is standard but it does look fairly brutal! You can buy generic Gibson style necks (like here) and good suppliers will detail the neck heel dimensions. You should be able to get an idea of the neck pocket size with the existing neck in place but you would only know for sure once the neck is removed. You might need to do some work to the new neck heel if any of the dimensions don't match. To be honest, in your position, rather than buying a replacement neck, I'd probably put that money towards replacing the guitar.
