I only have one big tube amp. It started life as a Jet City JCA50h. It's been modded all to hell and gone and i love it, but i stopped using it live a couple years ago because i got tired of humping a 50 pound head to gigs. For the hell of it i bought a joyo bantamp.. And then another.. And another.. I'll probably add a few more over the next year. They're like adult cereal box toys. Once you have one, you almost have to collect them all😁 I've been using the Meteor for live use. Its more than loud enough. Biggest shortcoming was the lack of footswitchable clean/dirty. So i opened it up, cut the onboard switch, added a 1/4 inch jack in the back. Works like a charm. Most of my recent recordings have been with the Jackman. The dirty channel isn't that dirty, so i set the gain around half way and throw a germanium treble booster in front of it and it's just right. I also got the zombie for those days I'm feeling more metal, but to be honest, that's not very often. It does have the nicest clean channel of the three though. EDIT: As a crossover from another conversation - you can tell which ones I use live - they're the ones with no factory logos😄

Tasty little setup calebz. Interesting that the best clean is the metal Zombie. It was a complete surprise to me too. Each amp really does a decent job of representing the 'flavor' of what they're based on. In retrospect, I shouldn't have been surprised. Ive owned the big heavy real versions of all three. The mesa had the nicest clean sound by far.

4 guitar amps (Blakstar HT metal-5, Bugera G-5 infinium, Blackstar ID-60 TVP and Harley Benton HBAC-20) I use the HT Metal-5 for metal sound (Captain Obvious was here ) The Bugera is good for crunch and cleans I don't use the ID-60 TVP very often, it's mainly my rehearsal amp And I would use the HBAC-20 more often if it wasn't that noisy beyond 2/10 on the level knob.

Original Peavey backstage plus and a Spider IV 15. The Spider is two days old, new to me. Did a jam session yesterday with it and was pleasantly surprised at its ability. (I think most folks dislike of the Spider series comes from their not reading AND/OR comprehending the instructions.)

Amps I own:
Vox AD120VT + AD212 + VC12 foot controller
Fender Bassman 100 silverface head
Squier Sidekick (10w 2 channel ss)
For bass, a Vox T25
Amps I have also owned but sold:
Sound City sc10
Park Son of Marshall G10R
Fender Performer 1000
Plan to sell all but the Squier. The others will be replaced intially with a HB TA5. Thereafter, not sure. Would love something tweedy, but no call for a louder amp as a home only player these days. If ever I had call for it, though, I would also fancy a Fender Toonemaster TwinReverb, and maybe a Tweed Bassman when rhey do those in that range.
