YesItsATaker nice one Most folks print Gibson and Fender on their fakes and you simply show off its true nature, how refreshing and freeing is that, well done sir!

YesItsAFaker. I don't get it when people try to pass off a guitar or bass as something it's not. Where is the fun in that, it will never miraculously turn into what they try you to think it is. As long as I know it has become a perfect player due to my tweaking and tinkering that (hopefully) can't be bettered by the real thing I'm more than happy with showing it off as what it really is, a cheap bastard!

Minimized the dent, filled it with ca-glue and leveled and polished it. It wasn't really necessary, the dent did not bother me, I just wanted to see if I could do it. Before: And after: Due to the pushed out sides of the dent I had to sand just a fraction through the red lacquered layer, everything feels level now. Coloring of the wood was not possible, there is thick sealing layer on top of the wood over which they sprayed the red lacquer and a clear coating.

I think the photo's make it look worse than it actually is, but it is a shame on what is otherwise a great looking bass.
What is the black line in the 2nd photo? Is that from the glue?

Shadow, the tail end part of the body where the bridge is attached is countersunk.

Ahh, ok. The shadow looks like someone attacked it with a soldering iron
