Which one(s)? I can't justify it, but I keep looking at the new "enhanced" MJ and MP in natural finish. I WON'T buy one. No Did U get anything? i'm still drooling over the Milky Enchanced MM/J 5-string Bass... Two Ibanez SR: That's what I really like. I won't be looking at the "Enhanced" any further.

Alnico V are generally wound for a mellow tone. Few weeks back I put Entwistle JBXN pickups in my pal's JB-75. **** me, forgot how loud Neo magnets make things

But when U say mellow, U're referring to the tone/texture of the sound itself, no?
i like the tone/sound of the bass. But the volume is super low. That's what i'm referring to.

Currently 2, in possession of another and a fourth on order All HB. First one, a PB shorty, I borrowed from a family member to see if I liked bass - and I did, so I bought a Marquess-4 and loved it, then the preamp blew ( I think) and I returned it to Thomann and bought an MB4 SB Deluxe as a stopgap until the Marquess was repaired or replaced (it was replaced - see post on the bridge adjustment elsewhere). I like the MB4 too much to get rid of so it’ll stay and I really shouldn’t be allowed online unsupervised because I’ve just ordered a JB 40 FL as I love the fretless sound. I should concentrate my efforts in learning to play the things and get treatment for my GAS.

See my introduction thread for the embarrassing GAS details.
Currently four basses: Sire MM V7 5 string, Sterling Sub Ray 5., Dean XM short scale (Wife's) and a Gear4Music acoustic.
Have in the past owned a Stagg 5 string MM (weighed a ton), a DiMavery MM fretless, a Vintage 4 string MM and a Sterling Sub Ray 4, while the wife has owned a Maison 4 string. Technically also owned a Fernandes lawsuit Alembic series 1, which was bought for our bassist in Fleetfoot Mike with a view to him paying it back, but eventually gave it to him.
