Anyone have any suggestions? I like the Joyo pedals but it seems as though people say the dynamic compressor doesn't do anything. Is like something that can be a little more bold for country.

Some one on here said that the American Sound pedal acts also as a good compressor ... DefJef maybe

My American Sound pedal suits the single coils beautifully but with humbuckers I prefer the NUX Amp Sim which is more in the Marshall territory. I have no comressor to compare but I know this; my solid state amp doesnt sound as good without these 2 tube amp sim pedals

My experience of humbuckers has been very negative (they nearly put me off playing altogether at one stage until I got myself a Pacifica and I was saved). So, I have been going down the single coil, Fendery amp sound for some time and this pedal just turns a meh amp into very much a keeper (plus it looks like a tweed Champ). Like this one.The great thing is that, rather like The Beatles whom I know have written an awful lot of stuff that I've still not heard and am yet to discover, I can still look forward to one day playing a humbucker guitar that I love and a whole new world will open up for me...and I can get rid of my unloved SG copy, Les Paul copy and ES335 copy. Hmmm, I note the word 'copy' in all of those. Perhaps I need to investigate some great replacement pickups.

I like my L-450Plus humbuckers but for change I do need single coils just to get me into new waters and once I start repeating myself I will go back to the humbuckers to do the same trick. I am also thinking of buying that 7 way strat harness on ebay which is solderless so I can easily swap single coil pickups every now and then without having to solder them all the time (hate soldering, Im a guitar player not an electrician). I just wish to get a well set up HB strat from Thomann so I can have my all time favorite strat to swap pups and experiment with the 7 way switch. Once again I must return a guitar because of bad setup

Brian May stuck 'em in his Red Special from day 1. Genius. NOTE The next soldering project will be a Westfield Precision bass I picked up yesterday for 35 quid. Might make it active if it plays well and bung in a bridge Precision pickup too. This one Westfield P bass

it's not that the Dynamic Compressor doesn't do anything, it's that it acts more like a sustainer than a compressor in what a compressor should do [lower the high signal and raise the low signal], it works wonders as a sustainer in the sense that indeed it does "compress" the signal enough to give your notes a longer sustain, and it also darkens the sound a bit .
I suggest the Mooer yellow comp. It acts like a compressor in the true sense of what a compressor does.

It just gets better! In the link that I was watching our Harley Benton hero specifically states that the Mooer is ideal for clean compression and country picking which I know schnee was looking for. Great to hear the Mooer used with the bass in your link though. Yet another reason to get it.

Oh yeah Mooer have a lot of great products. They do the clone thing right. And some of their products are even better than the original [check their EHX Micro POG clone - tender octave - tracks and sounds better than the original]. link Their Electric Lady is also a winner, as well as their Rat and Metal Muff clones.

COME ON JOYO! Start cloning the Mooer clones. Then Harley Benton start branding the Joyo clone clones and then let's have a big rise in Sterling versus the Euro. Should be able to populate a whole new brilliant board for a tenner. Now you're talking
