Mine does. I've even installed a humbucker for a short period a little while ago. Is your TE52 from the Wilkinson or Roswell era? Wilkinson era.

Ok thanks mate! I will need someone from the Roswell era to confirm this Tele has a humbucker routing in the neck!

I had a quick look on Facebook for ya. Here's a photo of a TE52 a guy bought in February. Looks like a Roswell pup.

Nice one saltee! Cheers for that! Im considering getting another Tele but can't make myself give the money folks in DK ask for 2nd hand squiers. My best option will always be Harley Benton. Shame HB doesnt do several color options for the Teles and even Strats. Those TE-70BP and TE-70RW would be very fine canditates for more color options! Love my TE70BP and was even considering buying another one and paint it over myself (but Im lousy at doing this kind of job).
Would be nice to have either a P90 in bucker format or a low gain humbucker in the neck position.

Hi Che, My TE52 has a humbucker cavity. But I cannot find a pickguard to fit the original screw holes. It is an Asian spec guitar but even Aliexpress don't stock them - I've been checking off and on for the last year. No luck on Ebay either. No problem with the USA spec though - there are plenty to chose from them!
My TE52 is from the Wilkinson era but I replace the pups with cheap Vanson's Vintage 50's AlNiCo V which was a great improvement. I've also been looking at the Ironstone version lately.

Thanks micoli! Ironstone pups are great but do get that In Series switch as it will give you a tone to die for! BTW, the neck pickup is Anico 3 and bridge is Alnico 5. Nice balance. Also, no problems with PG's not maching the holes on my guitars as I drill new noles (of course) I dont mind my guitars having hundreds of holes UNDER the pickguard, as long I can't see them its all good.

Maybe someone can help me here. Recently ordered a TE52 as Modplattform along with a new Kluson Tele Bridge, PUs and Electronics but i'm not sure about those tuners. It comes with Vintage Style tuners right? Do normal lockingtuners fit w/o drilling or do I need to order a set of Gotoh Vintage ones?

They are 8mm holes I think (or is it 6mm) and modern tuners are 10mm in the headstock holes!
What ever you do make sure the tuners are of the smaller diameter (I think they are 8mm but could be 6mm ... maybe some one else can help here)

After seeing the latest In The Blues video demoing this TE-52 with a very nice wood grain Im again considering to buy it! I know I have enough guitars but still dream of a Tele with PAF in the neck and Tele bridge pup! This one fits the bill very well! ... If, IF the wood grain is nice otherwise I just can't stand the plain wood grain with streight lines!

Guess I'll wait until it arrives to check how bad those tuners really are. She'll get a real setup and fret leveling first.

Guess I'll wait until it arrives to check how bad those tuners really are. I don't believe in bad tuners. They can be more or less stiff, which makes them more or less enjoyable to use, but tuning is never enjoyable anyway. They can have a higher ratio which makes them more precise (and tedious) and adds some minimal relief to the chore of tuning (or provides a reason to purchase some electric winder). They never affect tuning stability unless they are of the kind found on cheap toys. Discussion of tuners are mostly the recourse of reviewers in search of something to say or sellers trying to justify how some guitar for three times the price offers a minimal quality increment.
