It should be here next week Monday or Tuesday. After seeing that some of the ST-62 models have been marked as "Request Only" I thought they might be discontinued soon and replaced by another ST model and I would really like to have one of these. The sunburst I dislike and the black one is just too glossy and I know I will be spending more time removing the finger tip marks than playing it. I dislike maple fretboard and much prefer the rosewood feel (I realized this after buying me HB JB-75 bass) hence not choosing the new ST-62. The one I liked most is the Vintage White upload a gifI aslo, ordered a few pedals for bass and guitar

The first thing to check are the pickups to see if they are Alnico indeed. Then I hope the frets are decent and only need slight hammering here and there. Bought new strings 10 gauge to get a more beefy tone. Also not sure this one has D'addario strings since it sais nothing about it on Thomann.
Any who, the plan is to make a super fine strat in the near future. Will first play with what it came with and decide which pickups are staying and which need replacing. I know for sure I want the 7 way harness so I can engage all 3 pups and the neck-bridge too. I already have some copper tape so will shield the cavity.

Such a beauty! If a strat from HB had a fixed bridge it would get on my wishlist!

Just put 5 springs in there and tighten the screws in the tremolo and you got a fixed bridge !

That´s what I had in mind too (tremol-no), but then I saw this: For about 280€ including shipping from the U.S., I´m starting to save some money for it. eBay linkMight become my "future-baritone-custom". And then I would get another for a "normal strat".

image hosting no registrationST-62, Warwick daisy chain power supply, American Sound, Behringer BASS BDI 21 and 3 sets of strings. Not that impressed with the guitar at all must say its a gamble it seems, some got this guitar playable out of the box mine is everything but playable. Even if action is on the high side (2mm+ ) there is buzz all over the fretboard but the worst is E, A, D and less so on G, b and e. Tried to raise the saddles and to bow the neck a bit and still its there. I checked the frets and they seem leveled except on the 5th which is a bit higher but this means nothing because its rattling all over the fretboard. I can push a credit card under the nut at the 1st fret without it lifting the string E, A, D, G. The b and e seem fine and the card does lift them up a bit. Not sure why the strings rattle so much By the way, frets are medium jumbo I think, very chunky which is nice but need polishing big time (no sharp ends). Guitar comes with D'addario 9's but they look old. I have checked and it indeed has Alnico pickups but the 5 way switch is the cheap Chinese and the pots are tiny. Positive comments; very light guitar 3,4kg, nice neck, very nice cream color. screenshot toolOne of the tuners is out of alignment. One of the tuners seems to be jumping a bit image hosting without accountthe neck PU's e string pole is not under the e string at all (hard to make a proper photo to illustrate this) The pickguard is an ugly photo flame (looks better on this photo than in real life). Not sure what to do ...

Played it a bit this evening and it sounds fine. The rattle is still there on the E and A if I play it hard but if I play softer there is not much issue. What do you think I should do? Bow the neck a bit more? Raise the saddles a bit more? The action seems already on the high side
