The pickups sound lovely, especially the neck and middle. Played it through the American Sound, Nux Chorus and Nux Time Core and was carried away into soft finger style playing, very nice. Will see in the next few days what to do with it. The sound is very important to me but the playability even more so. Im guessing the wood reacted a lot in this cold winter time and might still be acclimatizing in my warm sweet home. I mean 3,4kg is a another factor I like a very light guitar which I need because my LP is killing me at times especially when I get shoulder pains every so often. If I can fix the string rattle and medium action this one is a keeper because even the neck is just right for me. The tuners seem to be keeping tune well so far and after screwing the bridge and the bridge claw totally its not moving anymore.

That's great, Che, as long as it can be made more playable. But, wouldn't it be better if you got another one as a replacement, that you didn't have to work on, all those things you like should be the same but with added playability? Unless of course, you want to work on it, for improving your DIY luthier skills. I know what you mean about heavy Les Pauls, not very comfortable in a standing position, luckily I am nearly always seated

I have 2mm+ (2,1 - 2,3mm) String Height on all of my Guitars, so i would not say its an issue.
Maybe the Neck needs a little bit more bow? Try!
And if it doesn't fit the overall look - Tuners especially- would be a reason for me to return the Guitar!
Maybe you will get a better one.
When i ordered my Vintage V6 Thomas Blug Signature i returned it 2 times, 'cause the Setup was horrible on one and the sound blunt on the other. Even the one i kept i sended in 2 times again 'cause i thought it was not sounding right, rattles etc. But after setting String Height like mentioned above and did some other twist and turns meanwhile the Guitar is very comfortable and good.
BTW: 3,4 kg is not lightweight for a Strat. Its normal. All my Strat-types are around that mark (and the LPs 1 kg more).

I have bowed the neck even more and there is still string rattle on the E, A, and D. I raised the saddles totally and still its there. I cant find the issue. I have told Thomann that I want to return my entire order (all the pedals, power supply and strings) because I ordered the extra with the guitar to avoid paying postage. If Im to order a diferent guitar I will need all that money to again make a free postage order. Lets see what they say. I am such bad luck with the cheaper HB guitars. The single cuts were all ok with small fret buzz issues I fixed easily. Even the Deko Bass was 100% perfect but it does cost more than this ST. I think I have to keep to the 140 + Eur guitars ... it must be my horoscope or something of that metaphysical nature blablas as you can see its not only Aliexpress that send instruments which are badly made but it sure is easier to send it back to Thomann

Isn't it kind of ridiculous to complain about setup problems and string buzz on a 111 euro guitar? Like, at that price that's the best scenario, usually guitars at this price range are pretty much unplayable and even more terrible sounding.
If you're buying a 111€ guitar you should be expecting to have to do some work to it. Minor imperfections are just almost unavoidable at this price. I think you have too high expectations for these guitars.

Isn't it kind of ridiculous to complain about setup problems and string buzz on a 111 euro guitar? I see you just joined our humble Club so first of all WELCOME! Second, I have bought both Harley Benton guitars and a bass which needed nothing or just a little set up. This particular guitar no matter what I do keeps rattling. I have fiddled with the truss rod, with saddles to no avail. The frets seem leveled so that is not the case. Even at the hyper high action the E,A,D are still rattling/buzzing. Also, not all of us can do set-ups professionally, some are more handy than others. Cheap components maybe but the setup should be ok because most beginners dont know how to set up a guitar. The guitar had a Signed Quality Check which means it was looked at by someone and yet it simply aint playable. Just because Fender sells unplayable cheap Squier doesnt mean HB should do the same (new times new rules new customers) So instead of calling me "ridiculous" in your very first post I suggest you go over to our Welcome section and tell us a bit about who you are, Harley Benton instruments you play etc .. just so we get to know you a bit

Guitar comes with D'addario 9's but they look old. screenshot toolOne of the tuners is out of alignment. One of the tuners seems to be jumping a bit image hosting without accountthe neck PU's e string pole is not under the e string at all (hard to make a proper photo to illustrate this) The pickguard is an ugly photo flame (looks better on this photo than in real life). Not sure what to do ... 9's are very light. That's an awful lot of looseness flapping around. 10s might solve it. I don't think adding bow to the neck will be the answer, particularly as you say the nut action is already high and you're raising the saddles too. Flat or virtually flat fretboards don't rattle unless the strings are super low tuned or a fret is out of alignment or the action everywhere is very low. Or you strum like a hippo. I've done a LOT of research about those under E poles and the general concensus seems to be that this happens a great deal but is pretty irrelevant as the magnetic field spreads wider than the pole itself. That said, I did replace one on my strat to get narrower spacing and it still isn't beneath the string (worse than in your photo). I gave up and decided it just means my E bends move into the next pole's field sooner! Those out of alignment tuners are bad but nice Kluson replicas. They're fixable but you'd want a B stock discount). I love the cream colour but, as you say, it's a pity the tort pickguard doesn't look as good as in the photo. I never seem to get a tort guard that looks like tort - probably because I'm too cheap to spend over a tenner. I do love the IDEA of torts but have no idea where the baseline price is for a real tort ("looking", we don't want dead reptiles under our strings do we?) pickguard is. No point spending £20 instead of £6.99 if they're both going to be photos of what I really want.

Actually this guitar came with 10 gauge D'addarios. The Orange XL Nickel. I was surprised because the black ST-62 comes with 9s which means that it might be from another factory I dont strum hard and even if I do strum I do it with my finger nails (the top of nails) so to get that acoustic soft strum sound, downstroak with 4 fingers and upstroke with the thumb nail (I hope you get this). The rattle is not an issue if Im strumming all the strings because it blends into the whole chord but the issue is there when I play riffs or play single E A D strings and want to make it more punchy especially if I want that tube breaking sound to follow after the clean tone. Im sending back this guitar and the entire order (pedals and all) I want to have the possibility to order again without paying for the postage (extra strings I get this way). And I will be waiting for the Paisley guitars which are arriving in March and see if they are lookers with good stuff.

Thomann told me (wrote to me) many new models are coming in throughout this year but now in March should be ... some Paisley ST or was it TE ... I think ST and then in Jun some form of TE-90 tele I dont think they will be Paisley. I posted this in another thread .... but where By the way they only told me about the Paisley and the new TE-90 and many more (without saying what kind of "many more" )
