i heard that story before yet it would only make sense if it does not have the no load detent. there have also been TBX pots with no center detent, granted it would be hard to find the no load position. in my 93 MIA tele its got a center detent, from the middle to the right is a TBX control, from the middle to the left its the standard capacitor circuit. when its in the middle its a no load pot and the signal goes straight trough, as if there is no pot at all. this will explain it better then i did, this particular example shown does not have a no load position in the middle.surly they must have been able to fix that in the fender custom shop. where all the signature models are made. then again i found out my self that the bulbs don’t burn to bright in the fender custom shop.

I have received the return blanket from Thomann, will send it back tomorrow. I dont think I will be getting a Strat again I just lost faith is HB Strats because this is the second strat that was not set up well, sure sounds lovely but buzzing and such ... I love their Les Pauls and now I will give the HB Tele a try probably very likely the TE-90 Red with P90s I can always try and fix up my reliced ST-20, I have received the chinese loaded Alnico V PG so will see how that sounds.

I think you should buy it because most reviews and you tube demos are positive about these ST-62 guitars. Its just my bad luck sometimes or maybe the Higher Power is trying to tell me that I need a Tele at this time Dont let my experience scare you away from HB guitars which got good reviews around the net. If you are in EU you can always easily send it back

Im from Portugal. I would have to pay the shipping back to the store if i dont like the guitar right? Im not sure, but I dont think you should pay it in the first 14 days of your return right. I certainly never pay return postage from Denmark in the first 14 days but after that one has to pay the return. Best is to ask Thomann via email

By the way I tried to shim the neck both ways just to see what happens and when the shim is closer to the neck pickup the strings literary lay on top of all frets so no playing is possible and when shim is placed on the opposite side closer to the head stock the buzz remains on the EADG strings. I used a tiny strip of an old credit card for shimming.
I am sending the whole order back today so I have enough money to buy one of the HB Tele guitars, likely the TE-90 red with P90's
