Hello HB lovers! Hopefully you can help me out with some pro's and con's on these two models. Looking to buy a versatile guitar for blues, rock, some metal and nice cleans. Have watched to almost all the reviews on youtube on these two, but I'd like to know your thoughts on that comparison. I like both shapes(one more than the other, but still) I am not a beginner guitarist, more like intermediate level. Have just sold my first electric guitar and looking for the second. In my head these both sound good and look great, but can not buy both sadly . Soo: 1. Build quality; 2. Staying in tune and intonation; 3. Sustain; 4. Sound(even though it is a personal thing); 5. Versatility; 6. Playability; 7. Anything else that would put one guitar above the other. 8. Price difference is not big but still in my curency it becomes somewhat noticeable(~100 bucks). Even though they are really nice quality cheap guitars, I am on a really tight budget. So is it worth it the extra bucks? (may seam silly, but still) This would help a lot. I know reviews on youtube answer a lot of the questions, but I suppose I want to know from people, who own/have owned both guitars and are able to do a valid comparison. Youtube can sometimes trick you. Thank you in advance for all the help. Best regards, Stefan

I have the cst24 t and I've been very happy with it. I've already posted my initial thoughts on this forum, but in short the guitar arrived perfectly set up, almost in tune and I was happily surprised with it's natural sustain. The tremelo might be an advantage depending on your playing style but I guess it makes it more versatile. I own a couple of Japanese Les Paul copy guitars (no Harley Benton's yet) and a Les Paul is a much heavier guitar and has thicker sound generally unless you coil tap etc. I hope this helps in some way, but either guitar you choose is going to be great.

I wish I could get a CST 24but alas I'm a lefty. Hint Hint HB. I just got my SC450+LH HB. A fantastic guitar for the price. Perfect setup out of the box. I don't know how they do it. Either one would be a good choice.

I have the CST-24HB - so a fixed bridge semi. I am VERY happy with it sounds wonderful, great sustain and required almost no setting up - has quickly become my go to guitar - and of course wonderful service from Thomman....... Weighed in at 3.6Kg - so considerably less then any LP ish model... That is important to me....

The semi-hollow is really nice looking too! The thing that annoys me kind of in the CST models is position of the PU selector. But oh well. The tremolo is a + for the CST though. Gosh, so hard to choose!

You cant go wrong with any of them. I got both guitars and they are both the best guitars in my HB collection.
If i had to go on stage without knowing what music i have to play i would take the cst ( the tremolo is a BIG plus on this....love it) because the pickups can do every sound you need..
The custom is like thr cst, well balanced on a strap, got easy playability and its own sound. In comparison you would say it sounds mussier,darker...but not much. The neck is more like a c-shape while the cst got more a flat d-shape ( keep in nind im talking about the 2 guitars i got here in my hands)
You cant go wrong with any of them..if you want to know anything more specific, let me know
