Hi All After joining the forums a few weeks ago, my first HB guitar has arrived, though its the second one I ordered. I placed an order for an HB35 just as they went out of stock at Xmas, so have to wait until early March for delivery. In the meantime, I ordered a sunburst HBO850 to tide me over, and despite that also going out of stock, its finally arrived. Here's a few photos below. Inner box shown was surrounded in thick bubble packaging, and then had a chunky outer box. All packaging was in excellent condition. Once opened, the guitar itself is completely unmarked. I cannot see any faults in the sunburst or any of the wood. Really pleased with it so far. It was really out of tune, so not sure if this was missed during the QA and checks - though not sure how. We have had a wide variety of temperatures in the UK, over the last few days, so not sure if that would have impacted it. Battery just needed unwrapped, and then plug the guitar into the amp. Sounds good so far, but need to play about with the settings to get a good sound, but happy so far

Nice looking guitar. I bet you'll spend a few hours strumming that over the next few weeks. I'm waiting for a cherry hb35 to arrive too when the new stock is delivered.

Nice one! I had a B-stock just the black color HBO and the neck on mine was warped so much there was no way to play it so it went back but I did like the neck feel and the body. Congrats on yours sure is a looker!

Is it sliding off your knee yet daz1701d ? If it does and starts to annoy you get some of that anti slip rubber stuff for sticking under rugs on shiny floors. It really does the trick, either draped over your leg or actually stuck to the guitar. My mate often hands me his bowl back Ovation when he wants some acoustic on a recording and, although it sounds so nice in the studio I usually end up with jumpers, shoes, bits of pizza...ANYTHING...wedged in front of it, like bricks under a runaway tractor wheel, to keep the blighter in place for a whole two minutes! That reminds me. I must buy him a sheet of it too. not yet, but good tips!!

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Sounds good plugged in but need to play about with the settings tonight to see what it can do I've found there tends to be quite a synthetic sound from these bowl back guitars when plugged in but it can sound great in a mix and very bright on stage. Definitely have their place. Hey, hang on, wasn't there a thread about an all black guitar up here a day or two ago about vinyl dipping or something? Perhaps that's the solution to Mr Slidey. Added bonus: if the guitar is rubbery I won't have to throw away the leather pants. Hoorah!
