Hey Che, Just got them in today. Already posted some info on the FB page. Will copy it here : About the CLD-41SE : Actually it's a D41 copy I am not imprest even disappointed regarding the looks though. The top is solid, the sides and back look and are probably laminated. The worst: The binding is painted, The inlay is ok. This all makes it look cheaper than it is. But the sound is very good with lot of harmonics. A very full body sound whether using the built-in pickup or clean. Tuners, intonation, action all very good. Came with a guaranteed action distance for fret 1 and fret 14. BTW: The guitar came not setup meaning: tuned. About the painted binding : Yes, The CG-45 that is on the stand in the back has painted binding too. I expected that of a guitar only costing 2 digits from Euroland. Not from one that is 3 digits big. About the EAX-500TL : This one amazed me a lot. Getting a guitar for this price (128€) is amazing. The body is mahagony and fully varnished (no satin). It almost feels like an electric one because of the ThinLine. Can easily fight against a Fender CD-60 (with pickup).

I'm waiting on the CLD-41SE - not too worried about the looks - more about the sound!! It looks great in your photo - any more photos or sound samples? I'm not on FB

Tell me please if this guitar sounds warm and not like a cardboard box Also how is the fretwork, any buzzing and is the action super high or? also how are the tuners

I´m little bit sceptic about the outside layer of body plywood, it seems to me like paper or mordant... . Inside layer is quite of walnut. The look is nice indeed, but the sound is better when switched on, sounds better than my expensive Takamine. Natural sound is good too but my other guitars are bit better. When strings are new, it sounds brilliant but with little bit older strings sound turns numb and dull. Its would be very interesting to compare this guitar with CLD-30.

About the CLD-41SE... The worst: The binding is painted, The inlay is ok. This all makes it look cheaper than it is.... That's very odd. The photos I've seen in other reviews (and Thomann's own product photos) show nice clean binding round the body and neck. The binding on my CLA-28VE (sister guitar to the CLD-41SE almost certainly made in the same factory) is beautifully finished. Perhaps you got a dud?

Sorry, Still in bed with flue. Try to answer some questions. dodger , It looks the way it looks on the pics on the thomann site.btw: You will see this week cause you will get one @che , Althought the sound is ok. Action is also ok (2.5mm). While tuning the guitar (EAX-500TL) today, The A tuner died . Can rock it around and around in all ways. easyrider , daveb , Paua is the inlay and that one is ok. My issue is the front and back body white binding that are to me painted to the lamination. The laminate that is on the sides and back of the body. The binding around the neck is a real one.

Get well soon lm2!
Mine is at home and I'm at work - very excited! The clips on the internet sound fantastic - sounds nearly as much like a Martin D41 as it looks!
roll on hometime!

In the meantime, I already decided to return at least 2 products, the EAX-500TL is one of them.

You're flippin' obsessed with buzzing. I blame the bees. I didn't want to say it but yeah. It's quite the buzz. Is it summer yet?
