Good friend of mine bought one of these heads when Thomann were knocking them out for £80. He gave it a favourable review and as he's been around longer than God I listen to his opinion You can see it's styled after an Ampeg head but it's solid state. The box is mostly for show, the actual amp it's self is about 2U high. Rated 450W @ 4ohm,take that with a pinch of salt, it sports standard features power amp in,preamp out, tuner out, effects send/return,3 speaker connections and a XLR line out with variable level. 9 band EQ,bass, mid & treble. Also has a limiter switch. How does it sound ? Well so far in the 48 hours I've had it I'd say bloody good. It's a big ole thing, probably 70cm x 30cm x 28cm, weighing I don't know maybe 20Kg. I heard of a fella buying two and combining both in the one shell, crazy !! that's Trace Elliot kinda weight Of course while I was waiting to get one the big T stopped selling them GAK in the UK have them for £185 so not as attractively priced anymore.Keep your eyes peeled for used ones. For the £60 I paid I'm happy as Larry. Does it sound like an Ampeg ? I've no idea, retaining a bass player's live sound in my head any longer than the post gig bar is not a skill I've developed

Hes a bit of a lucky git sometimes and getting it , in mint condition for £60 just reinforces that ? Someone who makes 200 bass related purchases a year should be eligible for a good deal now and again

So a write-up in a music mag would go something like "Kodiakblair took the stage tonight, playing his kodiakblair through his kodiakblair....".
I like it!

You folks do realise the use of the term " kodiakblair "tm and associated terms "kodiakblaired"tm,"kodiakblairing"tm,"kodiakblairly"tm etc incur costs so high your descendants will need to populate a country the size of Australia to have a hope of paying off the debt. Sadly the Peavey KB2tm never made it to production I remember the day Mr P broke the news, with tears in his eyes he said " KB we can't do it !! The world's not ready for a 20lb 2 string bass, the Flat Earth Society has joined with the Tonewood believers over the Granite body !!! Maybe we can use the bottle opener bridge though. " Yes it was a Sad Day indeed.
