Get the te90q, you can always send it back if it's to heavy or sound like rubbish... Which it won't!

you sold the sc 550?? why?? i was too long away it seems...you were so happy with this guitar.
+1 for the TE90qm BUT only because me and some people were not satisfied with the wraparound bridge and the upgrade i made wasnt that easy to do.
otherwise i would always take the CST hollowbody
are you sure you dont want to go with the extremely good sounding and light JA60? it got p90s as well and it was just yesterday when i played it and thought " man, thats the best clean sound i have ever get out of a guitar!" i really dig that guitar and everybody else likes it too. its easy to handle and easy to modify if you want too. (the hollowbodys are a bitch to modify, because you have to work through the F-holes)
if you are looking for a light guitar...hollowbody doesnt have to be a light guitar, the cst hollowbody is not a light guitar, the TE i cannot say .... but the JA60 is!:-P

nappel I returned the SC 550 back to Thomann and got full refund because they made a mistake in their pickup describtion. They sold me WHHB pickups and it should be something else. I did it not because I dont like the guitar but because I need money to also get some pedals and a guitar with different sounding pups like single coil or P90. I am not someone who just need to accumulate nice looking guitars I need them as tools mostly for my recordings. I dont like the sunburst thats why I never went for the JA60 otherwise I would. Also Im not at modding hence I need stock pickups which I really like. I just hope those Wilkinson P90s sound good

If its versatility your after theres another option. Get the CST 24 and do a Peavey T-60 wiring mod. The mod works on the tone pot to split the pickups, at 10 its single coil , at 7 its humbucker but at about 9 it sounds like a P-90 and you can dial it in to your taste. The push pull would put the bridge pickup out of phaze for that Gary Moore tone in middle position, but ( this is the interesting bit ) when the tone pots at 10 ( single coil ) the phaze switch switches coils from nearest to bridge which sounds more jangly ( like a Tele ) to furthest from bridge ( like a strat ) . it would cost about €10 for two new pots. Connect everything with mini spade connectors and keep your existing wiring harness so you can swop it in or our IHave this in my Japanese 335 copy & my harley benton L450 This is usually done with two vols & 2 tones but if your genuinely interested I'll sketch up a diagram for the CST 24 Decisions Decisions On another note as far as I know Thomann still give discount vouchers of €10 for each review you give up to a max of €50 I presume you have already got these ?

wildturkey I would LOVE to do all that modding but I have two left hands when it comes to electric parts and such, my mind just blacks out when I start thinking about it seriously Im not kidding. That is why Im thinking to get the solderless harness from ebay so you simply click in new pickups. Im think I might do that with the TE-52 tele, buy that solderless 5 way tele harness

What's not to like about those Wilkinson P90?!!!!!!.... Beautiful sounding pickup and much as I love my new swamp ash st90sa DLX, I prefer the TE-90QM P90s. In my limited opinion, nay very limited opinion, those P90 are a cross between a single coil and a hum buckler. Single coil but more full bodied. Like I said In Another post, the TE-90QM in red is stunningly beautiful and fit and finish was good . You mentioned weight, well the red TE-90QM comes in at 8 lb 3oz. Hope this helps

Great news for you Che.... For my money those P90s will sound just wonderful.... and at 3.6kgs the weight isn't bad either... I love my Blueshawk have to say - but of course the price is a joke against what HB offers ..... GO FOR IT... MMMM maybe I NEED another P90 guitar ......................

every harley benton i got...got its own sound, even with 2 harley benton with the same pickups...they sound different. i sometimes use 5 or more different guitars on one track to achieve the best results to my ears.that being said, the times where i thought i just need one single coil, one humbucker and one p90 guitar are loooooong over.:-)
sounds really like you should get the TE90! or you still wait so you dont miss maybe a new model they did not show yet.

You thought about the Jazzmaster with P90's, that's one on my list. Love P90's.

Same here. The only sunburst I like is on Stevie Ray Vaughans Strat.
