Dv247 shop have a sale on with Gibson les Paul, some models are at £850 basically half price. I also read about FGN fujigen guitars from Japan. Their lp copies have long neck tenon joints and an innovative circular radius frets improving playability and intonation. Thomman are selling the fgn guitars.

Theyre probably the 2015 models that they cant get rid off, I've played a few and didnt like them. I would take the fujigen over these any day, they are as good if not better than Gibson. Fujugen also made Orville, Greco, Japanese Epiphones, Gretsch, Ibanez etc. all of which are highly rated guitars, Also DV247 is the same as Musicstore Cologne

Yes, I have a 1980 Greco les paul, and it's a lovely guitar and every drop a les Paul (I had a 1960 re issue Gibson). I bought my fame 5 watt valve amp from dv247 for £81 as it was cheaper than the Cologne shop, thats why I go on their site from time to time just to check for such bargains.

I admittedly have a Les Paul fetish and have owned way more than I care to remember over the years. Having Gibson on the headstock means nothing as some of the japanese imports have been way superior to the "real deal" Gibson I would definately take a good Jap over a modern Gibson especially a 2015 , that big wide neck is not very playable The Fujigen & Terada made guitars have been my favourites
