Hej guys I'm new here. For some time I've thought about getting some of the HB electric guitars. I've had Fenders, Epiphone Les Pauls, Gretsch Committee, and a lot of acoustic guitars the last 20 years.
I'm seeking two guitars. One for hard rock and metal (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth etc.) One for rock and pop (the whole scale from beatles to modern rock)
I'm looking into getting some guitars, that I don't have to modify or upgrade right away.
The models I've considered so far is:
Harley Benton SC-550 Paradise Amber Flame
Harley Benton CST-24T Paradise Amber Flame Deluxe Serie
Harley Benton DC-Custom Cherry
Harley Benton SC-1000 VB Progressive Line
Harley Benton TE-40 TBK Deluxe Series
Harley Benton TE-52 NA Vintage Series
Since I have no experience with the HB line of guitars, I could use some help suggesting which guitars I should go for. My main aim, is to get the highest build quility, playabillity and greatest sound.
So please help me. Any suggestions are welcome :-)
Best regards

Hi there, and welcome to the club. I can vouch for the cst24t, probably the best finished Harley Benton guitar I've bought. It was flawless and even in tune out of the box. The pickups sound good and it's a versatile guitar too. Maybe the black might suit a more hard rock look? Check out the "alternative and heavy" guitars in the line up. Like the flying v type etc. Good luck.

welcome to the club this is a tuff one I only have the TE-40 TBK of those I absolutely love it and would it be perfect for the rock pop guitar. For the more metal guitar SC-1000 VB might be a good choice it has active pickups and Metallica used to use EMG in their guitars and Dave Mustaine has switched to active Seymour Duncan on Megadeath last album. I personally don't like active pickups that much. SC-550, CST-24T & DC-Custom are all guitars that could handle metal without problems, even the TE models could. About quality I have 18 Harley Benton instruments so far and only the violin I was a bit disappointed the tuning pegs were absolutely terrible all the other instruments were close to perfect just a little setup on some of them. So quality is not something I would worry about and you have 30 days money back at thomann

get the CST24t and you have one guitar for every style. but as much as i love my paradise flame i would go with one of the newer colors....black cherry for example.. because they got coil split. ..perfect guitar!
but every guitar on your list is a good choice, you shoild buy them all :-)

the TE52 like i have would be usable for the whole scale from beatles to modern rock.
for anything Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth etc i think you would be beter of with something that has a humbucker in it.
if you want to trow some heavy distortion pedals on it.
the clearer the base signal is, the beter you distortion will sound. distortion on distortion does not sound to good, at a certain point it starts to get to muddy. and it becomes a mangel of unrecognizable notes.(the quality of your amplification comes in here also, the more head room the more it can handle at a lower/clearer level)
so single coils are not the best choice, you'll already have to deal with the hum in the first place.(but i have seen heavy metal played on single coil strats for example, but its a rare thing) hum is something that humbuckers by there very nature don't have. and thats one of the reason there used the most in this genre.
sadly HB don't give the output of there coils, knowing the output is not a final answer to everything. but at least i would give a decent starting point.

Thank you for your time. I used to have a LTD-kh603 with emg 81/83 setup...really cool for Metallica etc. Then I got kids, lost my spare time, and unfortunately sold my guitars. So right now I'm looking into start playing again. I was thinking of one guitar with humbuckers and one with single coil. I like the shape and sound of the 50's telecaster, so I might buy the HB t-shirt model, that fits that description best. Still I'm not sure whether it's worth the penny going up in price, or if I should stick to model 20 or 30? The cst looks nice, it's just a shame that it didn't come with tree of life inlay in the non hollowbody models. Actually I'm thinking that I'm heading towards the SG clones or these cst models...hard choice! ?
