I've just fitted set of Elixir Nanoweb strings to my Adam Black acoustic, replacing the Martin strings I had fitted previously. The Martin strings were pretty rubbish, they started to tarnish almost immediately & while sounding good when I fitted them, soon started to sound less than average. The Elixir's sound nice & bright & if the blurb is to be believed, will last a lot longer. The only issue I have with them is when I bend the B string, it takes more effort to get to pitch than the Martin strings.

I own an Adam Black 12 string electro acoustic ! The 0512ce . I searched for almost two years for the perfect 12 string , I was working and had no kids so I had cash , I tried Taylors , Guilds , Seagulls , Martin , Simon & Patrick but none stuck out . We visited a local store one day up town where I live and hey presto the guy in the shop introduced it to me . After a few chords my wife said "Thats the nicest one youve played " I had to agree , I fell in love and she bought me it as a gift . That was 6 yrs ago and shes still going strong (the guitar that is lol) . I am also a big fan of Elixir strings and their fab customer service .

derek: I hope you and the wife are still going strong too! I always use D'Addario strings, and recently Dean Markleys on my electrics aka Neil Young, the benefit with NY is the rougher the strings the better you get to his sound.
