Anyone recommend one? Tweed or plastic cover?

Do you need a different cable for an electro acoustic? I always use the same type of cable as I do for my electric guitars!

Doh, marit - you're only getting the 'electro' part that way. Gotta have plenty of air space for the acoustic part to travel down too. You can, of course use a hose pipe but then you'll get less of the 'electro' element. HoHo - of course I always use the same leads as well - just wanted to see if anyone had a preference when playing acoustic with a piezo. Got a tweed one for less kinking hopefully (disappointed it's not Donegal tweed though with leather elbow patches...like my teachers wore )

I bought a cheap tweed cable from Aliexpress and threw it into the bin the same day I got it. So much noise. I must say that the Thomann generic cables have no noise (yes the ones you get with the guitar/bass).

Is THAT what tweed cables are supposed to be for. That's odd because the only items I've ever experienced terrible kinking on is electric laundry irons and they, for some reason, seem to come with tweed cables. I can't say I've ever had a problem with a decent guitar cable. 'Course you could always get a curly tail Brian May one. I used one once and it felt like someone was trying to surreptitiously steal my guitar whilst I was playing it. Brian must have that one to match his hair though - bet he has a poodle too...

Funny I played my first gig on Saturday night and threw in the lead I got with my HB35 into my bag as a backup (definitely a cheap one that is a couple of metres long). My trusty old angled lead didn't work when i plugged it into the mixer and I panicked - then I remembered the backup Thomann lead - worked perfectly and luckily I was sitting close enough to the mixer. It will stay in my bag in future! It's a nice touch for Thomann/Harley Benton to provide the spare lead and for me it was a gig-saver!

Im am using those generic cables for a while now and one jack has started to loose contact so they can not last forever. But they sure dont cause any noise which is amazing I find.

Those leads that come with the guitars can be useful. I bought some connectors and used the leads to make some short pedal leads. Also, the plugs that are molded onto the leads are a tiny bit smaller than spec I think. Not a problem unless you have a tempermental jack.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

I had a spare 9v battery and 2 sets of strings in my case too! Had to borrow a mic stand though and was singing through a mic that cost a tenner in Dawsons...
