I dont now anything about acoustic steel strings time to learn I guess so please tell me what you know I have Bronze EXP16 on my new CLD-15M and they seem too hard of a tension (I like bending and vibrating strings). IS it possible to use el-guitar strings on an acoustic guitar? Any other string types I could use that have low tension and have less zing when moving fingers around the strings? Anything else I should know about acoustic strings? Please tell me all

You could use e-strings . Don´t think a good solution/ideia. There are tecnical diferences. In general a .10 acoustic set is a very light gauge. Standard is around .12 . U have also .11. choice. Of course u have diferentes options for the rest of the set. For ex u can find sets .10 / .48 ou .10/.50 or others depending on brands/types /etc. An ideia to more easy bending is to tunning down 1/2 ou 1 step . I have .13 in a guitar for building muscular strengh purposes !!

electric guitar strings won't sound good on an acoustic Che. Lighter gauge will be easier to bend and stuff but will be quieter and usually brighter. Is it squeak you want to eliminate when sliding? Elixirs don't squeak as much in my experience but are expensive but then the D'addario on your guitar probably cost the same

The low E and the low A sound a bit dull, without much sustain. The D and G sound the best and have lots of sustain and then the b and e also have a bit less sustain but more than E and A. Im talking fretted notes here. Im sure this has something to do with strings. I dont mind brighter tone on this Mahogani of mine so maybe I should get lighter gauge.

Lighter gauge would be the best solution probably, electric strings won't work as mentioned already. Perhaps .11s to start, see how that feels. Acoustics go down to .10 (with exceptions probably), the cheapest HB acoustic comes with .10s.
