As some of you know I was very happy with my previous model RP70 which had such fine Hi-fi sound to it and was joy to record with. The RP70 was all plastic and would not survive on stage thats for sure. The 225 is 100% ALL METAL (as a tank it was built sais I ) Well the knobs are plastic
This RP225 was issued a few years after the RP70 (I think the whole range of RP55, RP115, RP225, etc ... was the next generation) and sounds diferent. Less Hi-fi and more "organic". The Noise gate on the RP70 was very useful but not so on the RP225. But the Compressor on the RP70 was crap while this one on 225 is just awesome sounding and give such good snap to the note as well as sustain!
My fav amp sim is the Fender Bassman and the Tweed. Lots to choose from but these are my go to and make my little Bugera V5 sound HUGE The EQ on the 225 is very good which again help me shape my Bugeras tone because the amp lacks EQ knobs.
On its own (direct into audio interface) it sounds fantastic. Useful drums for creating ideas. This machine even has the BPM ( DefJef )
So happy with this second hand purchase! It just makes recording so much easier!
Here is one recording done with this processor using the Bassman amp sim with Bassman 4x12 cab sim. Oh yeah did I forget to mention; this pedal has the to choose different cabinets. Guitar HB ST-90SA, Trio drums and bass
