My SC 450 LD arrived fine luckily but it seems Customs didn’t help. Not sure if anyone else has seen this.
The guitar arrived in its triangle box WITHOUT the outer box and bubble wrap. AND the triangle box was taped shut on one side only!
It seems it was opened, checked and never put back in its outer box.
The paperwork was taped to the front with no tracking number. Which explains why I never could get any tracking update after April 1 when it got to customs. Although it’s delivered, tracking still has it in customs for April 1st.
The instrument could have easily gotten damaged, not to mention with no tracking I had no idea when it was coming and luckily my wife was home when it arrived.
Nothing wrong with what Thomann did - and the guitar is unbelievable great! - but just an FYI about customs.

Hi jerryfender,
Sorry to hear about that. I thought it was bad experience when the outer box was crushed when I received a new guitar. What country are you in?

In the US, Boston area. And it was NY customs that had it so it didn’t have to travel far. Just really careless handling. And had there been damage I don’t think I would have recourse with anyone. Certainly not Thomanns fault.
