My HB35 has the same neck as my SC550 - so it is a slim taper neck. So this could be a good option and it is a great guitar. From my own painful experience it is quite hard to tinker with the guitar (changing pots/PUs) because of those bloody f-holes.

I think that a strat type is a good choice, comfortable body, the Tele is a bit blocky.

Doesn't the FLT tele (the cabronita styled one) have belly cut and contour?

The Harley Benton CST-24HB TOL Tobacco Flame has caught my eye. It has alot of things I love so not much modding to do. And the Harley Benton MS-60 PB LTD Edition looks nice too

It’s fairly thin, not shreddy thin but thinner than my PRS or Epi Casino. A little thinner than my DIY Tele. It’s about perfect for me. DefJef you have other HBs for comparison don’t you?

Harley Benton te-90QM trans red not much modding only a change of tuners, nut and maybe the output jack Harley Benton te-20 everything goes but the neck and body Harley Benton CST-24HB TOL Tobacco Flame no modding required And the odd ball Horner shorty pink modding will consist of a lace deathbucker new pods and output jack

I know you are not proposing any pickup or pot changes but if you were you should note that it's a lot more awkward on the CST-24TOL and the TE-90QM as both of these are semi-hollow with no access through the back. So you would have to work via the f-holes in order to get at the wiring.

Trick is using surgical tubing and plugs so you can pull everything out of the pick up cavities and pull them in the same way using the tubing and plugs. But I understand your concerns

Its straight-forward if you know how. Wasn't sure if you were comfortable with that type of work or not.
