So I want to buy a Harley Benton Les Paul type guitar, but I can't even decide which I want. (Harley Benton SC-Custom, Harley Benton SC-550, Harley Benton SC450Plus) I'm watching some HBs since months and I recognised there was some changes. The SC-550 got Roswell pickups and some SC-Custom too. So the Roswell pickups as good as Wilkinsons? (I ask it because I haven't heard any of them and the Wilkinsons are such good pickups for the price) Often I play Metal, but I'd like to play sometimes Guns 'N Roses and other rock stuff and want to find the balance as selecting the right guitar. (I do not want Active pickups, YET) I write my pros and cons by the description not by experience Pros: SC-550: -Roseacer fretboard -2 tone and 2 volume control (I kinda like that if I can control separately) -Neck join.. (how I see it looks easier to slide down to higher frets) SC-Custom: -Roseacer fretboard
-Protected neck against head stock break -Double action truss rod -Graphite nut -Grover machineheads (That could be so much more better than Wilkinson machineheads) -Straplocks SC-450Plus: -Double action truss rod -2 tone and 2 volume control Cons: SC-550: -Bone nut -probably Roswell pickups (I don't know if it's good or not.. This is why I ask you) SC-Custom: -2 Volume 1 Tone control -probably Roswell pickups SC-450Plus: -Blackwood fretboard -Bone nut -probably Roswell pickups -Machineheads Thanks for your answers!

I have the SC550 Lemon Drop (same hardware configuration as the Paradise Flame) and think it is the best LP type from HB.
The bone nut is definitely not a Con in my book. I really are confused about this judgement? Could you elaborate?
Double action truss rod should be standard on all the guitars you listed - that´s my assumption.
The Paradise Flame had hotter pickups and I guess after the switch to Roswells this is still the same. I found the bridge PU too high output for my taste (blues/classic rock) but it could be the right one for the music you want to play.
I prefer the 4 knob layout and wouldn´t buy any other LP. 50s wiring is also a must on a LP in my book.
Che said something bad about Blackwood (not Roseacer as was mentioned before my edit) but I have no guitar with Roseacer so cannot comment on that.
The SC450+ I had was inferior to my SC550 but the coil split could be an interesting option for you!? And the SC450 has a plastic nut. Overall the hardware was cheaper then the 550.

The graphite nut gives so much more sustain and brilliance and I think it's a good reason that you can't avoid. Does SC-550 have Lemon Drop? It's a new thing for me 'cuz on the thomann it's just available as Faded Tobacco and Paradise Amber.
Your SC-550 does not have Roseacer fretboard? Just because on Thomann description SC-550 has Roseacer.
I'm interested in coil split but not a condition.

The Lemon-Drop was only a short run - not available anymore.
Before CITES kicked into gear all fretboards were rosewood. Now they changed that for several months to Roseacer.

Che said something bad about Roseacer but I have no guitar with Roseacer so cannot comment on that. I complained about the Blackwood! Roseacer or Baked Maple was used before by other known brands. I would avoid Blackwood as plague! I have one and my frets are moving depending on the house humidity! Received the guitar with all frets streight no buzz no sharp ends. 2 month later I it suddenly has sharp ends and fret buzz! Blackwood can shrink a lot as it is a soft wood (Pine)!

Sorry @chedapapa , messed that one up. Edited my original post now in order to avoid confusion.
