Shorties are just fine, I mean even Kirk Hammett plays one. I will likely at some stage in the near future get a shorty HB bass.
By the way Henning Pauli is reviewing this guitar in his latest video and will soon do a short review of it soon. He thinks those tuners must be changed but most is fine, check that video.

Tuners replacing should be no problem I have a set of jackson original tuners that I replace with skull tuners on my retired Jackson V, and looking at the video the guitar does not seam that small. SO I've made up my mind I'll ordere one of the bundles tonight. On the tuners Henning Paul seam to like them much better then what other student guitar have.

Then I might be using it too just thinking that him having his own guitar is going to make him more interesting in learning then if he could use my guitars and that it shorter should also make it a bit easier for him to learn on

I've played just a little on her and the sound is quite good, action can be a bit lower but it's not high and very playable as it is, intone needs some work and it's extremely light. the amp is quite loud for the size will be trying it with some of my other guitar to really test it

Nice! I love to see kids taking interest in instruments at an early age. I got my son a short scale guitar (also an HB) when he was about 3. 10 years later, I think he may have picked it up twice (both times to move house ). (Same goes for motorbike, bicycle, keyboard and so many other things! Luckily he took an interest in Badminton, otherwise he would spend all his time in front of an LCD screen )

It's a reasonable workout, but fun as hell!
