For something different I'm considering either a CLD-15MCE or CLA-15MCE. What can anyone tell me about either of those? Or would you recommend another HB acoustic electric over those? I know the King might have one of the fullest boomiest sounds, but I want something comfortable to hold, easy to transport, as well as sounding good.

jayjacque - I keep harping on about The CLD41SE but for me it's amazing bang for buck; ticks all of your boxes. The CLA28VE ticks them all too. I own both guitars and love both but think the CLD41SE is amazing - it's not heavy but nice and solidly built. The neck is really comfortable and slim. It sounds amazing especially when it starts to open up a bit. I'd like an all mahogany guitar too but am still thinking about the CLJ45 too. I'm not a fan of cutaways either - if HB sold the CLA-15M with a pickup but no cutaway I'd be all over it. The CLA models are small but not tinny sounding - very light and are a lot slimmer than they look in the pictures on the Thomann site. My CLA has a very tight focussed sound uplugged - if you're finger-picking or playing lead this is the guitar you'd use for recording. The CLD is far fuller and richer - brilliant for strumming and responds well if you dig in a bit. I don't think you'll be disappointed with any of the Custom Line models; there are a few videos on youtube. I gig with both every week and the CLD usually gets the nod as it's more of an allrounder but they don't sound much different plugged in.

I'm the owner of CLP-15M and it sounds amazing. I played on some all mahogany guitars and can say only a good words about them.
