Just got this a couple of hours ago and got to say I love it.
£25.80 from amazon.
True bypass Fuzz control Tone control Volume control Mode switch normal/midcut Fuzz foot swtich Octave foot switch Battery or AC adapter needed
A very good fuzz pedal although its quiet in your face it goes from big fuzz to massive fuzz. It sustains like crazy, I messed around various settings in fuzz and the Black Sabbath riff is fun the vibrato on the third note wobbles and sustains for an age and sounds like devil music lol.
The octave switch only works in with fuzz on and is supposed to raise an octave. With the fuzz and tone dialled back it sort of does that. With the midcut on as well when you get anywhere 12 o'clock or past that it's space metal stoner rock territory. To be honest to me it's more like a flanger/phaser you can get some real way out sounds if you play around with the tone control.
I will probably just use the fuzz side of it mainly, but will have some fun with the octave bit now and then.
For the money I paid it's excellent, will do the job for any fuzz riffs/songs and the sonic attack side of it is a bonus.

I wonder how it would compare to my old Fultone Ultimate Octave, that pedal had a great sound but was 3 or 4 times the price.

I don’t know much about origins of pedals and what is a clone of what. From a little dig it appears the Fulltone UO was a copy of the Foxx Tone Machine.
Whatever it’s based on, if you’re liking it the rest doesn’t matter.

Sounds good. I might get one of those myself sometime. Thinking I need a proper fuzz. Was thinking of building one but I've too many projects on my to-do list as there is and not enough time.

From first impressions this is my favourite pedal, I don't usually like lots of overdrive or distortion. This one just makes me laugh especially with the octave and midcut on it's just weird lol. I'm waiting to hear what your newest pedal is like 😀

Do you have a good source? I was thinking of getting a breadboard and some bits but it’s all a bit daunting.

I've breadboards and stuff that I got from aliexpress but really it's handier to just get the kits 'cos there is a danger that you would miss an important component.
Theres a few sites around the place that do kits. Honestly though it's hard to build them for much less than the price of a Chinese clone. The only thing is that it gives you a chance to modify the design in your own way. My main motivation is that it would be a learning experience.

Yeah, I have noticed that a lot of the clone kits are cheaper than the pedals.
I think that the reason I was going for breadboards is so I could switch components more easily to hear what they do.
