EDIT : just a few minutes ago, my teacher was there and he had plugged his electro-accoustic guitar on the Fame to play bossa with me. The amp was cranked to 4/5 and at the end, I told him that I wasn't hearing the amp that was put right behind his chair, while I was myself sitting 1.5m in from of him...
... He switched it off and I heared the (huge) difference !
This amp is incredibly silent when it comes to something else thant the soud of the instrument
This is the reply I've just got from Doc Loco on his YT channel;

You realy shouldn't judge pickups based on YT video. What you hear in person, through different amps and volumes, should give you an opinion

Still pondering ... either this FAME or Bugera V22 Head version ... ... ... Well the Bugera V22 head has much more going on (I am seeing the Bugera V22HD Infinium. Is that the one?) and the price reflects this but I thought you already have a Bugera combo that you are happy with?

YouTube videos can give us some idea and often the wrong one but for now it is the go-to place. Then chance buying online. Quite sad really

The V55 combo I have, has 6L6 tubes and this head has EL84. This alone will give it different tone but importantly I will have a 2nd amp (never liked the idea of having only one amp in case one fails).

@chedapapa I see well thank you for clearing that up. You know, having one amplifier can be as boring and unsatisfying as having one guitar. This is one of the reasons I like those Fender Mustangs, etc. Lots of things going on and no wiry mess on the floor in front of it.
Hope you will like it anyway. It will need to be on its very best behaviour if it does not want to return to that cold warehouse.

Perhaps you may be better getting another Bugera exactly the same as you have got if it's for back up? At least that way it will have the tone you like. On the other hand if it's more of a different tone you are after get the fame that does look a good little amp if it's as good as what has been said. Either way whichever you decide it can as Vincent says be banished back to the horrible cold warehouse.

You probably don't want to get caught on film in one of their videos they seem to be permanently filming 😀 they certainly seem to play all the gear in the shop. I would be arguing its 2nd hand 😁

Quite sad really And why do the stores have less and less selection these days? It's because everybody goes there, try the gear and then order it online in a another store. That's why small music sellers barely make their living these days. All buisness is oriented towards online stores who rely only on sound samples and youtube presentations.

I wonder ... how much would Harley Benton guitars cost if they were sold in our local shops just like Fender, Gibson etc ... ? Would we even be interested in buying them if their price was double or tripple as usual? I mean, the shop owner would need to make some money, the transport, probably even advertising it (if HB was something outside of Thomann).

If I take a wild guess...I'd say an SC-450Plus would be arround 350-400 euros. TE-52 arround 300-350?
Everybody beetween factory to salesman, adds about 20% to the final price. Thats how I look at it.

I think the H-B's would still be a "decent" deal, but no longer the bargain we've come to expect. I think the CST-24T would be slightly lower than the PRS24. The SC-450 plus would be slightly cheaper than an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Without the significant discount, I'm not sure I'd do it. But I'm still waiting for my CST-24 so I'll see.
