The pedal arrived today. Two days. Well done Thomann.
The pedal looks solid and knobs don't rotate easily. They have slight resistance which I prefer.
Had no chance to plug it and play. Will do so tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Hm, ... not sure what o say ... the pedal functions well ... the tone is ... well ... not sure what to say ...
Lets just say I now love my CKK Lunar Drive even more for its clear dynamics. Very creamy, yet crystal clear definition. This Tube Engine is a bit short in that regard and sure is a bit boxy sounding thanks to the Mids Boost. I like a more Mids scooped sound and let Bass and Treble do the job instead.
I remember my NUX Drive Core being used always with the Drive+Bass Boost and never with just the drive option (3 way toggle between, boost, boost+drive and drive) It could be that I need a Fat Boost and not a midsy Screamer type pedal.
Its also very gainy, very pushy! I dislike that characteristics as it resembles more modern drive sound! Hm ... not sure about this one. I have already glued the Velcro onto it so cant return it (stupid I know). Will keep it for certain highlights in a song and that be it!
I tried it as just a Boost but it doesn't give me that nice sizzly tone of my old NUX Drive Core (should have bought that one instead).
Anyway, its on my board now and I will fiddle more with it to try find a good use for its midsy pushy nature.

Tried to play it without any Drive, and Bass and Treble cranked all the way. This is more like a Boost and might be useful. It gives more body to my tone. Sounds larger and doesn't fit that well with Reverb or Delay. It's more for a up frond sound in the mix.

Why didn’t you go for a straight booster with EQ or a treble booster.

To get another style overdrive on my pedal board I guess.

Luckily the Velcro was very easy to peel off and left no residue on the back. It was good I used an old Velcro from my old Rowin fuzz pedal instead of the one provided by Valeton. Pedal returned today. Will look to get a Boost or a 7 band EQ pedal instead.
