I specifically went for my Morley M2 volume/wah because it was an optical wah. Good luck in your quest to adjust the Q or whatever it’s called.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Well MartinB , I just learned a whole load of things or two ( ) today. After a few hours playing around with my HSS Pacifica and feeling that the Q or range or whatever could be better I just went and plugged in my favourite, use every day telecaster. And what a difference. No need to mod anything. With cleans from this tele into the Dennis I have all the wah I need. Just comparing my chain for tone or volume suck there is an ever so slight volume drop through the bypassed wah but nothing to concern me and no discernible tone suck at all. Switch it on and, although there is a further minor volume drop again, I could live with it. The tone alters slightly but only to a different usable one and then the heel down motion gives a smooth and lovely wah. Everything still sounds clean and doesn't kill my Fender Champ's lovely tone. I think I have just got very lucky with this. I've looked at the Morleys and if price were no object would probably have gone for one. I'm not much of an overdrive/distortion/gainy player but I may give this a go. I suspect it won't do the 'vomiting in a bucket' sound but, hey, I often play in bars and restaurants!

If it’s anything like the Morley it can do some beautiful clean funk stuff. The price of the Morley is up £40 since I got mine, shocking. I got it because it was optical, I had a cry baby long ago and it didn’t last long. Also it has a volume pot for when you switch the Wah on! I use it to get Unity volume. Like blablas I have a thing about unity volume on my pedals.

Do you mean leaving it at a set position like a filter or leaving it switched off just to use as an accent when the mood takes you.
