attention, google translate in action
Hello everyone, a few months ago I bought a HB SC450-PLUS,
of which I felt satisfied. Of course - and I stress it,
since even more or less authoritative reviewers of musical instruments on youtube
they seem not to take this into account - even in the guitar price ratio (159 EUR).
However, after a short time, I realized that the pitch was not really the best.
I changed the strings again (the standard ones I had substituted immediately),
cleaned and oiled the neck, adjusted the saddles, controlled the action, but at the end the G string, pressed on the second fret, sounded too sharp.
Also on the third and fourth frets, even if a little less.
Starting from the fifth the intonation returned at least acceptable. Also the B string appeared
sharp, but definitely less. The fact is that I spent more time looking for a compromise
with tuning rather than playing,
and anyway after a few minutes, disappointed in general by the sound,
I returned to embrace one of my beloved acoustic guitars.
I tried some remedies online, and so I tried to follow some tips, including that of limiting slightly
the groove of the G string, but even so I did not get acceptable results.
So I finally decided to change the nut. I bought 2, and today I started working on it.
After a little less than half an hour, the new nut (bone) was mounted and the guitar
ready to be tuned. The problem on the G string was not
completely resolved, but the overall situation has improved significantly and now I can play without almost feel that unbearable annoyance
that give me the instruments badly tuned or out of tune. Of course, perfection is something else,
but if someone like Jimmy Page plays his Gibson Les Paul n. 1 tuned like in this video,
maybe I can play my SC450-PLUS with the new nut without any fear ...

If it is possible, then I would also provide the specifications of the nut that I bought (8 euros for 2 nuts)
because I am satisfied with it and also because it was enough a pass on the abrasive paper to make it adhere perfectly to the guitar.
