I haven't got the time to produce video-reviews of my gear. I'm rather focused on writing, performing and recording my songs. But I personally think it is sometimes much more helpful to have an instrument in its "natural environment". So you can actually listen to this great guitar in my singer-songwriter recording. This guitar sounds terrific in clean or in a slightly crunched mode. The guitars in this video on the left ond on the right are the TE 70 with different pickup positions. (The guitar in the video is not the one in the recording)I used the HB American Sound Pedal (Fenderish...) for the recording. I just added a tremeloe pedal and some reverb from the Guitar Rig. I also played a HB JB 75 NA bass guitar on this recording (I bought it as a decoration instrument for 44 Euros... there was (nearly) nothing wrong with it) I also used the American Sound pedal as preamp for the bass! and I think it sounds great too!

I thought Deco guitars could not play! Are you saying that your deco bass actually could play without modding it?? It sounds great!

Yes, the only problem were some sharp fret ends, but you don't have to be a famous luthier to sandpaper the sharp edges. I replaced the nut (which was not necessary). The only things which seemed to be a bit odd was the neck adjustment screw. It was relatively deep inside the neck but it worked. The sound is great for my ears but I'm not a bass player but one of these bass playing guitarists. But for me it produces the kind of sound I know from many famous singer songwriter recordings of the seventies. But it is rather a recording instrument: It weighs far more than 5 kilos... too much for gigging. The decoration instruments may work properly ... I guess Thomann doesn't want to spend too much work and money (work hours of their employees) in setting up these instruments. So it's propably still a good deal for them to sell them for a third of the price. But you should definitely know a bit about how to set up a guitar...no recommendation for beginners or people with two left hands...

Thanks for replying mate I appreciate it! I was looking at buying that same bass as deco last night and today someone else bought it I must wait for the end of the month to get some money. I hope there will be some more deco offers. Last night there were 3 HB deco basses and today all 3 were sold. I will keep my eye on this section from now on.
