Hi everyone.
Does anyone know which HBs have thicker neck profiles? Maybe the SC-550 or the ES335 types?
I've learnt from Fender Bajas, some Les Pauls, etc that I favour meatier neck profiles.
I currently own a CST-24, only think I would like would be a thicker neck.
Thanks, cheers

The TE-52 and ST-62 have thicker necks (23 mm at 1st fret, 24.5 mm at 12th for the ST).
More data:
B-400FL: 21, 24 BZ-7000: 21, 22.5 R-458: 20, 23 SC-450 Plus: 21.5, 23.7 (approximate measurement, I never took the strings off) ST-62: 23, 24.5

metale, great question! Leo has some good numbers there, and they seem to tell me that each HB neck is somewhat unique. I'd guess (just a guess), that the HB necks may be roughed-out by machine, and the final sanding/shaped done by hand/machine, then final film build-up of finish may vary largely as well. In the images below, I show numbers and approximate sections I pulled a year back for another similar question to yours. At the time, I recall a couple HB members there saying their necks were not the same as what I was finding. So your results may vary as well. Also, HB may be using a different factory by now, so My results are this, My HB SC400 has the "roundest" neck section in feel, the HB SC450+ and HB35+ feel nearly identical and are still full and round-ish. The HB TE20 felt slightly "slimmer", possibly due to the slightly longer scale and being a bolt-on neck. As I later realized on the TE20, the neck was random in thickness from the 1st to the 12th frets. Again, probably a lot of hand shaping which caused some section variety in the neck. Also, it wasn't just the thickness of the necks, but also the width across the frets I noticed. A millimeter here or there.

Thanks, cheers SC550 has a very much thin C profile on the 1st-5th fret then gradually goes a bit thicker and then at the end goes into a bit D shape, still very slim in general. The HB35 would be a bit thicker especially on the 1st few frets. The HB with thickest neck would be the TE-52NA ! Then the TE-70BP has a very nice C shape, a bit thicker than the standard Strat vintage C shape. I dislike modern slim fats necks and need a bit of a chnkier material in myhaands but I dislike Les Paul bats as they are too thick for me.

I apologize for bumping an old topic, but I am also interested in the neck profile of the SC-550. I am debating between getting an SC-550 or an SC-450 Plus, but I'm curious as to exactly what the neck thickness is on the SC-550. Can anyone who owns one please take a measurement at the first and 12th fret, please? Thank you in advance.
