Hello wonderful people! Having made up my mind on buying an ST-62, I started wondering what makes them cost different. I suspect that 42 extra euros have nothing to do with the overall build quality but the gld-plated hardware and maybe finishes... But I'll ask you guys to be certain. I'll post links to Thomann pages down below.

I suppose the price of the DLX is partly driven by the lower quantities produced. Bone nut, gold hardware and pickguard may play a role in this too but not the build quality.
Be aware of the difference in neck profile. The DLX models have a slimmer "modern D" neck while the regular ones have something most people will call "thick" or "chunky". It is the thickest neck I have played so far (not that I have played all that many, but still about a dozen).

One further difference will likely be the colour of the neck. The regular maple ST-62 comes with a "vintage-like" yellowish tint but I have seen videos or pictures of the DLX which had a lighter neck, like this one: Compared to my regular one:
