Hi all, feel like an XT-22 is calling my name, order will probably go in soon, but I hope someone here can help me with a little bit of information:
1) Is there a difference between the Paradise Flame and Black Cherry Flame besides the color and the fretboard material? On the Thomann site, the back of the PF headstock says "Deluxe," but the BCF doesn't.
2) Any idea why they come with different strings? (PF has D'Addario, BCF has Ernie Ball)
3) The PF lists an optional hard case (part #172299#) though it's for a single-cut guitar, but the BCF doesn't list any case. Is that the right case -- and if not, what case are you using for your XT-22?
4) What color is your XT-22? I've seen pictures of the PF that range from very yellow to almost deep tan, while the BCF goes from a deep red to a strong brown. What can I really expect when I open the box?
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to your answers -- as well as to anything you want to tell me about my next guitar!

I see the same strings on both. You might be looking at a different version of the product description, one in a different language that hasn't been updated. I can't remember seeing HB guitars come with anything else but no name or D'Addario strings. The case is obviously the same model for both, one of the descriptions simply left it out. The BCF pictures of the headstock show the old HB logo, the other one has the new one which also says "made in Vietnam" on the back. It means they still have some of the old BCF left, while the better selling Paradise Flame has been replaced with a newer batch. The old BCF has a roseacer fingerboard, the new Paradise has moved to jatoba. If you wait long enough, the BCF will also come with jatoba and new logo. Maybe it does already and the website is not up to date. Colours are impossible to tell. Picture fidelity varies with the lighting and the same applies to reviews on YouTube. Besides, colours have changed with time, so today's guitar could look different from last year's. The Thomann pictures used to be pretty far from the actual product but this has improved and the more recent ones showing the new logo are closer. Here's an example of this in which the body's colour looks more like the new picture while a very bright video of it shows it much lighter than it is:

I have the bcf XT-22. The color is a nice dark red and the flame is more black stripes than actual flamed maple so it's a bit gaudy. I changed the strings as all the HBs I own needed a lot of set up so I'm not sure what came on it. I didn't like the sound or look of the pickups so I installed pearly gates and different pots. It looks and sounds much better.
