I really need some help here from you guys who own one or more of the HB Strat style guitars.
I intend to own my 3rd HB axe next month and have decided I really need a Strat in my life and love the HB's for price & quality.
With the price range NOT being a factor, from your experience, which model sounds & feels the most like the Big "F" standard models with the overall most solid build and component quality? I prefer the thinner necks (not the chunky beasties) and the real chimey tone that only a Strat provides. It will be my mostly "Texas Blues" axe and I fully intend to play the crap out of it!
As my maimed fretting hand regains strength and some limited flexibility, I am open to the challenge of making myself remaster the venerable guitars I sold earlier on in my recovery due to a sense of hopelessness. I've grown tired of making excuses why I need Gibson scale necks and miss my jangly single coil blues too much to any longer succumb to the "can't do that anymore" mentality.
So please advise me on my overall best option or two amongst the Harley Benton range to embark on this journey.
By the way, I'm leaning towards that lovely Rosewood model, but isn't that the one with the fat neck on it?
Thanks in advance,
Jim

I think only the cheap ST-20 come with a thin Modern C-shape necks. All the rest are vintage necks which will be thicker.

Oh by the way, anyone know what brand or distributor makes a replacement pickguard to fit an HB Strat without hogging away parts of it? I don't mind redrilling holes, just wanna avoid it not fitting the guitar to begin with.
Thanks!

Ehm... Harley Benton maybe? Which color do you want? Perhaps white pearloid or maybe a 3 ply color other than the stock one? Stupid me didn't even know HB sold aftermarket replacement bits aside from entire guitars, doh!

Thomann even sells HB pots and some other instrument parts and acessories too for very low prices (but not as low as some from china via ebay). I bought the black pickguard with one bridge humbucker from China for 7 Euros (no shipping cost) and it fits perfectly. I needed to drill a few holes but thats it.
Thomann has another house brand name for microphones called t.Bone and they have their own cables called sssnake I think. Also some Thomann classical guitars made in Europe (not called Harley Benton but Thomann)

it fits perfectly. I needed to drill a few holes If you need to drill a few holes it's no perfect fit. I would call that almost perfect.

Oh I meant it fits the body shape perfectly, the neck, the bridge, but not all the screw holes so yes 99% perfect fit
