Finally, after over 3 months without playing bass, I managed to get some time this afternoon. I finally got home after 11 flights in less than 4 days (all of them terrible), and decided that I was owed some "me" time. I picked the bass that I most felt like playing, which was the HB P Shorty, and it felt even better than I remembered, it never ceases to amaze me how much I like this shortscale P. I must get around to upgrading the p'ups (again) as I think it is definately the best bass I have for playing at home while seated in front of the PC. To be truthful, I didn't even play that much, I just practiced a riff that has been stuck in my head (Memphis Soul Stew) to try and gain some stamina. When you play that riff at 105bpm for a while, it's like going to the gym for your fingers After a couple of hours, my hands feel like they are burning! Anyways, just thought I would share this "not so interesting" news! (Oh, and GAS is back! As soon as I put the bass down, the Thomann page got opened! (doh) )

3 month!!! Man that is like being in a prison away from your instruments! How could you stay sane? You need some traveling bass solution pronto!

Not much chance to play even if I did take a bass, I only got 11 hours sleep in 4 days!

That Memphis Soul Stew is a great groove, isn't it? I admit I struggle to keep it going at full speed...and tell myself it sounds just as cool at about 75 bpm!
