anyone used Thomann’s PLEKing service? the basic package for 50 euro includes:
perfect dressing of the fretboard, fretwork, nut, bridge, as well as improving overall the adjustment of the string action. Optimised processing of a new bone nut via the PLEK machine Individual adjustment of the string action and intonation Incl. bone nut
or are we all assuming good setup on arrival?

There is no work on the fretboard in the 58€ offer. Apart from replacing the nut, all else is what I can do myself without particular tools.

The German word for a guitar nut is Sattel. It got mistranslated to saddle a few times. I understand the main point of PLEK is precise fret levelling and that is only in the PLEK Standard offer at 195€.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

so i was thinking of buying an st-62 and wanted them to install bone nut (2 euro) and roller string trees (2 euro). they said sure, for 75 euro labor charge. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. think i’ll do it myself. they said they cant install a nut without pleking....makes me wonder about their luthiers.

The alleged bone nut on my ST-62 DLX looks and feels no different than the unspecified one on my regular ST-62. They might just be the same thing.

€70 doesn't surprise me. German labor rates are those of an advanced economy. Plus Thomann are optimised for volume not customisation. You're much better off doing it yourself anyway.
