Different pick-ups on the DC-600, Roswell LAF AlNiCo-5 "Vintage-Style" instead of unspecified "Vintage Style Humbuckers". I don't hear much of a difference in the sound samples but it might be worth to check demos. Mahogani and basswood for the body might offer differences in weight and balance. Oh, and there's one more pick-up in the DC-600 and more is more

I think I'm gonna grab one of them for my next order. An SG and maybe a LP clone ... SC-450 Plus? I've been ODing lately. But these are priced low enough that if I don't like them, I can always take a small hit when selling ... I consider it a rental fee to try and play. So far, I've purchased several HB's ... two are keepers. CST-24 and SC-550 Black Cherry. I've been able to move the others for a small loss ... but nothing terrible. Not like buying a Squier for $199 and selling for $60. ha ha

There were some posts must be nearly 2 years ago? People who bought 580s/600s were saying the body shape is more like the Ltd viper than a true SG. I believe older models with the old logo had a closer to the original SG shape although I'm not sure if and when the change took place. I think the DC customs are closer to the correct shape. As for the three pup version I don't know if it's wired like a Gibson with 3 pups (neck, middle/Bridge, bridge).
There was some suggestions that the DC 580/600 are in fact made in the same factory as the LTDs. Again I don't know if there is any truth or it's just speculation.

That's important to know. I'll continue to do some research while I cull a bit, and save up for another round of HB's.

There is a difference in body shape between DC-580 and DC-600. Note the better access to the high frets in addition to the slight offset of the DC-580. Pickguard and controls placement are different too. Controls are more out of the way on the DC-580. I think old Youtube videos said the switching of the DC-600 was the same as on the original Gibson. The DC-Custom has Grover tuners.
