JUst purchased a Harley Benton TE-53 Humbucker on the neck) Set-up straight out of the box - pretty nice. The WEIGHT....WOW ! - Yes it's heavy.... Perhaps just a bit too much ? I play at home - got a few guitars....never had any problems with weight... After about 20 minutes just playing my usual rubbish I found the guitar really digging into my right leg...starting to become very uncomfortable. Had to stop - stand up and get my leg back.... It plays and sounds very nice - all my favourite riffs and runs went without a hitch..... BUT - I've NEVER had to use a strap for support on any guitar while sitting and playing at home.... I'll order a wide strap and see how it go's.... All-in-all ---a very well made instrument..good straight neck, no warping or twist. If it wasn't for the weight I'd give it a 10 out of 10 for playability and value.

My TE-90QM, whilst not a standard T-style, weighs in at 3.25 Kg. heavier than I thought it would be, but much less than my son's standard squier tele which is 4.3 Kg. Yeah ... 7.25 lbs sounds about right for those guys... I bought 2 ... Love them both. But I have two TE 52' s too ! I tend to buy HB's in pairs , because at the price ... they are simply just a bargain ... and the quality is beyond expectations ... Great guitars. The Fusion T with all the goodies, have convinced me to NOT buy a PRS SE DGT (or McCarty) as they are great guitars... But at $800 /$900 US . I'm not sure if they are as good as the costs half as much, and festooned with more premium features Fusions ...

My TE-62 is not heavy at all, probably slightly above 3kg, that is lighter than my Fender Player Series.

The TE-52 is a heavy guitar ... But I think they are great ... Make good modding platforms (but all the stock stuff works well !) the Ash pattern is beautiful... The pickups are about as Tele as the need to be ...
Yeah, I call mine "2 Ton Teles" .. but I have fitted a 3" cotton web strap (Levys) I sit... I don't jump around ... So the weight is not a problem.
If I was concerned about weight ,I go a TE-69 with the little bit hollowed out ... (probably around 9 lbs) and be cool with that.

My TE-62 is Ok from the point of view of weight (and a good overall guitar). I would have also bought a TE-52, but the weight is a big NO to me. HB should do something about that.
