Sweet. The only thing I dislike about it [or in any guitar and bass for that matter] is the tortoise pickguard. Wonder how low/high the action is, though....
I had a 12 string Takamine that I had to sell. I could only play it with a low tuning [C-c]; the action was terribly heavy even after taking care of the nut and saddle.

Shows how people have different tastes I love tortoise yet don't even have one instrument with one such pg (call it ironic). I dont get it; if you have sanded down the bridge enough how come you cant get low action? On my classical I sanded it down to a very low action and now playing it is just awesome. I stay away from adjusting the nut though dont feel comfortable to mess that one up and I have no tools for it either. So far had no issues with nuts. Did you sand down the under side of the bridge or the upper part (upper is where the strings are). I sand from under it by placing 600 grid sand paper on the table and sanding down the under side of the bridge by sliding the bridge over it. (I hope this makes sense, hard to explain in writing)

(I hope this makes sense, hard to explain in writing) I had it sanded it enough not to have fret buzz. But the standard tuning made it way to heavy to play anywhere else other than the first few frets. I would almost sh*t my self to play a barred chord. Tried lighter gauged strings but it would render the sound way too thin for my personal taste. So I downtuned to C Had it over to a music store to have the neck checked, but everything was ok. The problem was the height of the bridge it self. In the end I quit on it. It was more of a curiosity at the time than a need. Costed me 500+ euros, sold it for 400. Not a biggy.

So you are saying that the wooden part of the bridge section was too high right? In this case sanding the plastic bridge nut would not help much I guess.

Sanding it and the nut lowered the action a bit, but no way near enough. Downtuning also helped the action a bit, but again, not enough. Way too heavy for me.

Found this on you tube! How come Im such bad luck with HB acoustics??? This guitar sounds awesome! Hi, Che! I told you some time ago why did you have so bad luck with HB acoustics but you obviously forgot that. But all right, lets talk about the video you had find. I´m an owner of this guitar too and should say that this guy in the video had no much better luck than you did, Che. He just did not know it at this moment. This guitar sounds really awesome, maybe even better than Epiphone J200 (more bass), but I had lots of troubles with this instrument. The nut was on the wrong place, about 3mm upper than it should be and the fretwork was poor.Thats why the guitar did not tune at all. I fixed it up! And was wery happy with this guitar about a year when I realised that the braceing cracked(desicated) off from the body and some of them had honeycombing checks. This was probably the reason why the top lift up and made the action madly high. I fixed it up! Ofcourse I did some cosmtical changes like replaced the ugly pickguard with Gibson original and the interior label as well, rearranged the trussrod cover( I hope some day I send you the picture). But now my HB CLF The King sounds not like 188.-EUR but like 350.- Gibson J200. Really beautiful.
